Going to the states this weekend, which car detailing products should i buy there?

Hey guys,

I'm planning to go to Buffalo this weekend. I heard that the states sell cheaper car detailing products (i.e., car wax, clay bars, etc.) and more unique products that aren't found here in Canada.

I heard that whatever car waxes like Meguiar's you buy in CDN TIRE in Canada would be half the price in the states?

Can anyone recommend what products to get down there that are cheaper there than in Canada?

california waterblade original/jelly $8/$16

if i may advice, if you decide to buy claybar, go w/ meguiar too,
unfortunately, all the target/walmart i visited, don't have them, but have mother's. check pep boys, autozone for meguiar claybar @ $20

walmart USA don't carry california water blades anymore,
but i've seen california duster on shelves..

you can probably find "california" products in CT, but prepared to pay over price. if you have a chance to go to US, buy all the stuff there...

CD2 Engine Detailer (and perhaps the Engine Degreaser too, but for that you can use any engine cleaner).

Stoner Invisible Glass

Anything else you need that is cheaper in the US. There aren't all that many detailing products specific to the US, but most detainling products are usually cheaper, heh :)

I wouldn't touch the California Duster or Blade though, whether you find them or not.

Just a plastic "grating" or screen you put at the bottom of the bucket so that your sponge/mitt/cloth doesn't hit the bottom of the bucket (where the dirt settles). Prevents you from keeping dirt on the sponge and then sponging other parts of the car with the grit on it and making fine scratches.

as for california waterblade, i've used for over 2 years now...
no scatches made on my old/current car... since i use
pressure washer to rinse, and i wipe my blade w/ chamois every
2-3 strokes.....

as for the duster....i wouldn't use it too...
i wouldn't even wipe/dust my car if it's never rinsed w/ water.

Do you know if Meguiar's clay bar kit is better than MOther's? Have you tried both? If so, what were the key difference b/w the two?

i'm j/ a big fan of meguiar's.....use to be a mother's fan...
mother's is still good...but IMO meguiar is a step higher...
if i was able to find meguiar's clay bar in walmart/target,
i would buy that first..even if it's $5-10USD more.

correct me if i'm wrong,
meguiar comes w/:
2 clay bar, 16oz quick detail, microfibre, proper container

mother's comes w/:
1 clay bar (cut in half to make 2), 16oz showtime detail, 4oz cabnauba cleaner wax.
