I don't use my @yahoo.com address very often, but I logged in today and my entire Inbox was nuked.

naturally, my Spam box was not nuked.

Is there some piece of news I'm missing?

No problems here...but if you have the free account, it's probably like hotmail where if you don't log in after a certain amount of time it goes into 'hibernation' and all e-mails are deleted.

no, it hasn't been more than a month since I last logged in. It can't be that.

plus, all the stuff in my "Sent" and "Bulk"/spam box are all still there. Even sent stuff from 4 years ago.

I did. And it was probably the worst email account I've ever had: few e-mails did I ever received despite people telling me they sent them.

I use yahoo email accounts and have had no problems at all.

I've been using Yahoo since they one-upped Hotmail by increasing their mailbox size to a ginormous 4mb!

No problems with them ever, except when they switched over to the new beta I'd get the odd error message from time to time. Try switching back to classic and see if your inbox files are there.

There is no 100% reliable provider. Gmail has deleted some accounts, hotmail deletes after 60/30/90?? day of inactivity, yahoo does some crazy things as well. If they are so important get your own server
