I don't get it. What's wrong with it?

I didn't even know FS had a message board forum. I assume you can't discuss the negatives about that store there but it seems nice enough.

The level of sophistication is pretty low.

"Is it better to buy a cheaper computer now or wait a while longer to buy a more expencive but better computer?"

I guess it is good to educate customers. On that website we can see how dumb the average person is when it comes to tech. I wonder how many FS employees are on there giving FS style advice.

Would you trust anything on that forum - especially if the employees push their FS line.

Well, not everyone will be a tech expert and not everyone knows about RFD. Besides, it's not like we're some bastion of supreme intelligence here either. All of us have seen far too many dumb threads here.

The employees answering questions on the forum seem pretty nice. There's no reason to be asshats and "hijack their forum" just because you hate the company or were denied when you tried to PM with XSCargo or Factory Direct.

In my opinion they are the same scuzzy asshats that we see in the stores - most of whom have less product information than most RFDers do. They lie to customers in stores and they probably lie to people on their forums now.

Just my jaded opinion.

if you sign up for the forums just to troll and hate on the posters then you are prehaps worse than you say they are... If you think it is so bad, just do not visit? not that hard not to go to that part of the site is it?

I'm surprised the candidate didn't print a copy of the website and attempt to scan it using a scanner.

Hi there,

They seem to be promoting the PSP. *lol* If were to post something about what is the avantage of a PSP, they would list everything (since they are FS employees posting there), I could print it out, highlight the thing and if anyone got PSP issues when they go to claim, gave that print out to them. :D

Not much of a point to that as the PSP is given in writing to everyone who buys one.

There's no reason to hijack the forum, but at the same time, I'll post when I see one of them spouting BS. Just cause they work at Futureshop doesn't make them experts on anything.

Hi there,

What's your point? Of course there's going to be an unhappy customer for everything. It's always the unhappy ones that are the most vocal and plaster their "horror stories" all over the internet. I've had a good experience with their PSP. My comp crapped out, I brought it in to FS, they kept it for a week and said that HP ran out of the part needed to replace mine and consequently would take a long time to get the comp fixed, so they let me pick a replacement for the same price that I originally paid. I'm a satisfied customer. Unless you've had a first hand problem with their PSP, then go ahead and start a thread on their forum, otherwise you're just trolling with "he said/she said" stories.

Bordello...

PS. Your posting format is lame.

That's true for anyplace though; no one can be a specialist on all areas! Working in IT, I do find that I know more than FS employees about some items - and have even caught them in a lie, whether they intentionally did it or were just pretending they knew more than they did. At the same time, some of them do know more than I do about certain technologies - it's always a hit or miss!
