Hi guys, I have an 8800 GTS and I'm having trouble removing the plastic cover to expose the heatsink and fan for cleaning. Can anyone help me out here, I have the two small screws pulled off but it seems as though its still attached somewhere.
Thanks

I don't think you can without removing the label on the fan casing.

There are two smaller screws to the left of the larger ones, you have to inspect more closely.

Good call, the EVGA label is covering the holes.
Warrantee voided, but at least I have a clean card :)
THanks guys

Doesn't eVGA allow you to tamper with the heatsink? Changing the heatsink entirely doesn't void the warranty. They might be the only company that allows it.

Ok, just an update guys I tried an experiment last night with my card. Instead of placing the plastic covering back on, I actually attached a 65cfm 120mm fan over the heatsink using a combination of copper wires and mods to the fan.
In comparison to the stock cooling I noticed a couple of things. One was that temperatures dropped about 10C from the stock fan temps on 100% fan speed. Believe it or not, the card was sitting at mid 50's under full load. After finding this out, I used ATI Tool to figure out the max on the GPU and ram before pixelation happened. here's the results:
120mm Cooling:
Load 58C
GPU 636mhz
ram 1018mhz
Stock Cooling:
Load 74C
GPU 636mhz
ram 985mhz
After going though all of this, I threw the stock cooling back on. For the little bit of performance gain it's not worth the effort of attaching a 120mm.
