I have no idea if the list is up to date, but this is the Canadian distributor.

I got some in Switzerland last time I went :D
But to actually be of some help, I remember seeing them at Roots (I can't remember if they had Roots designs on them though)
You can probably find some at Europe Bound across from MEC, and there's a store beside it that sells knock offs (well, just not the Sigg brand)

the above link did list Roots and Europe bound, though who knows if roots still carries them. i'll swing by Europe bound to see what they have or worse comes to worse I find a US retailer who will ship it to me.
how do you like bottle anyway? i'm not sure what size to go for.

The Big Carrot (http://www.thebigcarrot.ca) has a decent selection of them in their store on Danforth (they're on the wall in between the main entrance and the body care section). I've also seen them at Whole Foods in the US, but the selection there was more limited than at Big Carrot; I'm guessing it's the same at their Canadian stores.

www.onlinefitness.com has a good selection and ships to Canada for $19.95 - ouch!!!
There's also www.aviva.ca here in Canada, I can't remember whether the prices are better than Northern Spirit.
If you can find a local retailer in the GTA, you might be able to convince them to add the particular items you want to their next order, if they don't carry them.
I can't understand why the SIGG's cost so much more up here in Canada. I think I will wait and get my sis to bring me some next time she comes up from the U.S.

if anyone knows of cdn friendly US retailers be sure to post 'em. these bottles look really good and whether its fact or myth, i'm leery of using Nalgene bottles.

these bottles look really good and whether its fact or myth, i'm leery of using Nalgene bottles. My daughter started using a Sigg bottle daily for her lunch drink as of last week...already it has a couple of small dents in it. So the Sigg may not break or puncture very easily, but the wear and tear can be pretty noticeable. And because it's just aluminum, there's no insulation and you can really notice the temperature of the drink. I think the Klean Kanteen may be a little better for both these issues because it's made from stainless steel instead of aluminum.
Anyway, I'd still choose metal over plastic any day.

SS is a better insulator vs Al?
where i can find the KK bottles?
thanks!

where i can find the KK bottles? Yeah, the thermal conductivity of aluminum is much higher than stainless steel.
I think I saw Klean Kanteen at The Big Carrot also, right underneath the Sigg bottles. I would guess that many stores that carry one of those brands have the other as well.
My wife received a KK as a gift but later bought a Sigg. She prefers the Sigg because of the better cap and the cover for the mouth piece. And there was apparently a rust issue with the KK, but that may have been just a bad batch that was then recalled by the company. There are some mentions of it in the reviews at Amazon -- http://www.amazon.com/Klean-Kanteen-Stainless-Steel-Bottles/dp/customer-reviews/B000GF9GLI

I have all the major sizes (0.6L, 1L, 1.5L)
Overall I prefer the 0.6L for daily use since it's not overly large...fits perfectly in my hand
I was fortunate enough to find a Sigg cover for the bottle, so mine has been kept in pristine condition....they have a neoprene one and a foam insulated one if you can find them (I got the foam insulated one)
If you're worried about the finish, Sigg has different paint/material finishes (though I'm not sure what's available nowadays), however, dents are easy to come by (and easily seen) because the aluminum is so thin....but think of them as battle scars from usage ;)
I was at Sherway Garden only a couple of weeks ago and saw Sigg bottles in the Roots store, if that's of any help

Yeah, 0.6L is the best size. I have 1L also which is just too big. I found mine at Europe Bound. They had some on sale as they were old design (World cup in Germany). I think I paid $25. It's odd that the 0.6L bottle is more expensive than 1L bottle (which you can find somewhere for $20 or so).

Coast Mountain Sports carries them here in the GVR ... not sure if they carry them anywhere else in the chain. Good luck.

Try Thermos Foogo brand for kids. I've read a few comparisons between the different brands of 'safe' sippy cups and Foogo's usually get the best ratings.

I would go with Klean Kanteen over Sigg, from what my friend told me,who is a nutritionist, she told me that there is a coating on the inside of the Sigg bottles thats bad for you if it wears out. Also Sigg bottles can't take hot drinks and acidic drinks even juices.
I'm going to pick up a klean Kanteen bottles on of these days. I've heard planet organic near prominade (sp) mall has it and running free at denision and esna park sells it but they are sold out

The infromation i'm posting is from what she told me, about the Sigg bottles, if you still want a Sigg bottle you can find them at those Coast Mountian stores, Markville mall has one

I use both bottles now. Kleen Kanteen for smoothies ('cuz it has a large opening) and Sigg for water. I rarely drink juice/pop and if I do, it's in a glass at a restaurant.
The coating on the inside of the Sigg bottle is food safe, oven baked enamel (some say proprietary water based) and is safe with acidic fruit drinks and pop. Hot drinks are not recommended even for stainless steel bottles like the Kleen Kanteen. Who wants to hold a hot drink in a hot bottle?
FYI, the debate between stainless steel and enamel based cookware (not bottles) is still hotly debated. Google it and find out for yourself. I still prefer the Sigg because it looks nicer. It's also made in Switzerland (Kleen Kanteen is made in China) but that's not too important to me as I trust Kleen Kanteen knows better than to use an irresponsible manufacturer.

The teacher that did the fundraiser bought them online here
http://www.metalwaterbottlestore.com/
They are in London, ON.
But if you peek at the list, there a loads of retailers!
We have 0.6l bottles, easiest to carry around
