Dumb question - but how much does car colour affect how hot a car gets on a sunny day? Enough to notice... or not a big deal?

I can tell you that on a hot day with the sun shining, my car is cool to touch. I have white. with black cars it is actually hot to touch. If the body of my car keeps cool, i'm sure it'll affect the temperature on the inside.

I'm suprise that white isn't the top colour with all the hype w/ white in recent years (every f*cking car has to be white, anything from a Civic to a Sienna)

according to MythBusters, it does make a few degrees difference.... but it's still very hot.... interior colour probably make slightly more difference.
