I always loved the NES metal gear series, the Snes Square RPGs, Sega's Phantasy Star I&IV, Nights and Panzer Dragon series and Dragon Force on Saturn, VF1&2 on Saturn, Sega Rally, Daytona and Virtua Crash on the PS1, Metal Gear on PS1. Zelda, Metroid, Castlevania and Megaman on the NES surely.
Oh and all the Capcom fighters on the Saturn. With that godly Saturn pad, 2d fighters played like a dream and if you have the RAM cart, practically arcade perfection unlike the PS1 versions which has missing animation frames.

My Top 3 Games of All Time:
1. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
2. Sonic 3 & Knuckles
3. Pokemon Red
My #4 is SSBM and #5 is Tales of Symphonia, but both are still pretty current. I guess in another generation or so they'll be looked on as classic systems =P

I didn't really get into the series until Green came out. Is that version rare?
I might put it up on ebay then ;)

Green is the Japanese version of Blue. In Japan it was Red, Green, and Yellow. In other parts of the world it was Red, Blue, and Yellow.

Everyone's giving away their age :P Some of these guys were still kids when Pokemon was out.
When I was a kid it was Double Dragon (2?) and Final Fight in the Arcade.
When I got a video game system it was all about basketball so NBA Jam for me. Super Mario World, NBA Live '95.
Spent most of my teenage years playing a MUD, which is an all text-based version of World of Warcraft. Highly doubt anyone would recognize it if I revealed the name though.

A lot of people were kids when Pokemon was out (around 10 years or so). We're the kids of the baby boomers =)
And MUDs are just text based versions of MMORPGs, not just WoW. There's more to the genre than WoW people!
But yeah, I'm 19 and my first system was the Genesis. Followed by an NES, N64, GameCube, PS2, Wii, 360. In the handheld front I had a Game Boy, then Game Gear, then Game Boy Color, then Game Boy Advance, then DS, and now a DS Lite. Might pick up a PSP and PS3 in the future.

the oldest video game system i EVER had was the Turbo Grafx 16 bit system...some of those games had so much flashing lights i could give a person a seizure!
i'm serious!
i remember bonks adventure a bit, but i remember a dracula type game even more....
then theres the "seizurerific" game...i can't remember what its called, it had this little robot suited guy that flew across screens (sorta like a high tech mario bros) and it was always flashing and....
i dunno, though that was my first system i ever had...cost 100 bucks back in...1995 or 1996...clearance at radioshack...i was only like 7!
then after that (soon after) was NES (I DAMN HATED the legend of zelda game back then...you were always getting hurt and you constantly had to battle monsters...i should've kept the GOLDEN cartridge one though...stupid me...
then around age 8 1/2, i got a gameboy color and was a PSYCHOTIC pokemon junkie...i recently sold all 4000 different pokemon cards, 200 collectibles, and ALMOST all things pokemon...i still have the "24 carat gold plated cards" they sold at Burger king (it REALLY is 24 Karat gold *PLATED*)...i got rid of 25% when i moved from winnipeg to kelowna bc....when i was 10, i got my favourite "classic" system to date...the n64...it was AWESOME...legend of zelda ocarina of time, MAJORAS MASK *one of my favourites for its uniqueness and 3 day runthrough*, Banjo Kazooie and tooie, DK 64, Pokemon Stadium 1 and 2...oh and Hey You Pikachu...the first game that had a microphone used to instruct your "character"...and pokemon snap! all those games are really fun and i've rebought them again recently as well as the n64...
when i moved to kelowna i got rid of the n64 and wasnt gaming for a year and a half (simplest time of my life...then again i had gotten introduced to having a comp in my home at that time so yeah lol) and then on my 14th bday i got the fantastic ps1...all those final fantasy games, chrono cross, legend of dragoon, i loved em!
and thats my LONNNNNGGG gaming history.....
i currently own a n64, gamecube, and ps2.
i plan on buying a xbox 360 (or hopefully winning it from pepsi *URGGGHHH!!!*) and eventually upgrading to a ps3, but the wii can wait...theres very few games i want on wii...though nintendo ds intrigues me.

the oldest video game system i EVER had was the Turbo Grafx 16 bit system...some of those games had so much flashing lights i could give a person a seizure! i'm serious!
The TG16 console had warning about seizures I rememebr they had these on the NES as well....It has something to do with the way TG16 used ligting effects. It swas still years ahead of its time.
i remember bonks adventure a bit, but i remember a dracula type game even more.......Dracula game?...maybe Legendary Axe?...Dungeon Explorer
then theres the "seizurerific" game...i can't remember what its called, it had this little robot suited guy that flew across screens (sorta like a high tech mario bros) and it was always flashing and.....Hmmm robot suited guy I think you mean Keith Courage in Alpha Zones or Side Arms?
i dunno, though that was my first system i ever had...cost 100 bucks back in...1995 or 1996...clearance at radioshack...i was only like 7!

Oregon Trail in Elementary School. Right up there.
Bonks Adventure will always have a special place in my heart.
Splatterhouse for being one of the first 'horror themed' video games.
NBA Jam for hours of countless afternoons spent playing during spare period in grade 12.
San Francisco Rush and Rush The Rock: Alcatraz Edition for eating tons of my money during university.
Twilight Zone and The Addams Family pinball games are hits of their own, but aren't really video games.
