I am wondering if it is standard to receive a promotional HD programming package from either Rogers or Bell when you purchase a HDTV from Futureshop or Best Buy?
I believe that in the past I noticed FS offering like 10months free HD programming credit when you buy a HDTV. I was wondering if that is still standard practice, or if you have to bargain for the promo (if its even possible).
I notice that Best Buy is offering a 'free ExpressVu HD satellite all-in-one kit with HDTV purchase'. First off, I'm not even sure what that is. Second, I dont wan't a satellite/Expressvu and wonder if they have the authority to just give me an equivalent promo through rogers hd. Can't find any similar promo on FS site.
Reason I ask is I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on the 32' Aquos for $750 at BB (after $100 credit for junky tube tv trade-in) and hoping to get some HD promo out of it, but Idealy want Rogers but may be difficult to get the $750 pm from FS. Sorry, this got longer than expected, but any input/advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers
