Well, I already know what I'm getting from my mom...a new laptop...woot woot! Found out totally by accident too so now I'm all excited and can hardly wait till Christmas.

if you're upscaling to 1080p or even 1080i, ask for a blu ray player AND the DIVx player. worst case scenario, u dont get the divx player

Having said that the S5 is so close to being the perfect player I might bite the bullet anyways. As a travelling IT consultant the built-in speakers would be sweet so thanks again for the tip.

I really have to ask how you can mention these cameras like they compare to each other. 40D is easily the best way to go, can focus so much faster and better that the other two, and live view is a boon for wide angle shots.

You won't believe this....the puppy has pulled my power cord out of the back of my laptop so many times, he's loosened the pin in the laptop!!! It can't be repaired!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Grrr...I so didn't want a new laptop for Xmas....so didn't :( It's pretty funny how I've used electrical tape to prevent the cord from slipping for the time being...lol
