Oh man. This store is always crazy busy, and I can't imagine with this sale.

Last year, there was a line to get in (probably about half an hour) @ stc. Then when you get in the store, the line was all the way around to pay - at least an hour wait.
Also, they close off all the change rooms. Pain in the butt, unless you know exactly what you want...
But thanks for posting nonetheless!!

That is insane. If you're buying several items, then it is worth the wait.

Actually the sale starts Friday but only if you have an SPC card.
Sorry I don't have a link, just a friend works for headoffice. (This applied to both UB & Costa).

Yes there's actually a SPC sale going on Friday. Not sure how it's been in prev years but this year I received an email from SPC about the event.
Personally I'd go for the SPC sale rather than the F&F. Probably less chaos lol.
I'm scared for saturday, I'm just about to start working at CB :o

I went to UB today to try on some stuff. I told the salesperson that I would be buying on Saturday, and he asked if I had an SPC. I told him I did, so he said come on Friday then, and I could get an additional 10% off with my card! I should have told him he's going to have a lot of fun working on the weekend.

There's should be a CB in Place D'Orleans in Ottawa, at least that's what it said in the directories...not sure where else in Ottawa though.

Note to mods: This is a separate thread because this is SPC card specific unlike the other threads. Please feel free to add "MRG" to the title if it is neccessary.
On nov 16th, the day before everyone rushes to the friends and family event, Urban Behaviour and Costa Blanca will have a 50% off sale off the entire store for SPC cardholders only. Beat the rush! get your SPC cards before by this friday!

You pretty much get what you pay for. That's why their clothing is low-priced. Personally, I find their quality to be alright. Better than H&M's lower quality clothing, but lower than GAP.

You can get an SPC card like anywhere without proof as long as you look like a student.
I'm going to definitely drop by tomorrow to see what they have.

My mom has used my SPC card and it worked (maybe because she is short abut definately doesn't look like she's in her teens or 20s).

Just came back from Eaton Centre. Got four ties for $10 each, and a couple blazers for like $30 each, dress pants for $25 each, some button-down shirts for about $15 each... total $260 with taxes. I had like 10 items, and the hot cashier said that I'm their best customer
I found all the sizes I was looking for, but it's just the start of the sale. They were talking about closing the door later on the day.
An important note: they scanned the barcode on the back of my SPC to give me the discount, so you do need one for today.

Picked up four pairs of jeans, 3 t-shirts, one long sleeve shirt, one zippered hoodie, one dress shirt, and one sweater-style jacket, total: 177.62, at the Vancouver Metrotown store. The cashier was like "Is all this stuff for you?"
Thanks again for the heads-up on this sale, guys. I'd never heard of an SPC card until yesterday, despite being a student. I'd been buying all my clothes at costco to save $$$, but the stuff at UB fits me way better. And with the SPC card I got an additional discount on most items PLUS was able to avoid the weekend crowds. God I love RFD!!

It seems not to be consistent - at the upper canada mall here in Newmarket, the Costa Blanca staff made a point of telling all the customers that they were giving the sale price to everyone, whereas UB staff carefully scanned my card and refused to give the discount to the older lady beside me till I offered her my card to scan (staff were ok with this).
Previously in the thread someone mentioned having the same experience, but with the stores switched - CB demanding card, UB lax about it.
It's past 9 now, so it doesn't matter anyway, but I hope in future if they have an "exclusive" SPC sale that it stays exclusive. I don't begrudge anyone getting good prices, but the point was to offer an exclusive sale to SPCers. It's an inexpensive card, possible to get even if you are not a student, and the discounts it gives your easily pay for the card - especially if you order online and get the free gift card :)
In any case, it's nice when doing your homework pays off and you get a great deal on an exclusive event.
oh, yeah... and it makes me feel special ;)

I never buy from the regular stores of Costa Blanca. I buy only from the discounted Costa Blanca on Orfus Road Toronto. Eventually all the styles end up there anyway.

For those who want to know, I went to all three Urban Behavior stores in Downtown Montreal. None of them needed any SPC Card.
The one in the Eaton Centre had little stuff for guys, and the one at Les Ailes didn't even seem to be having the sale at all. I bought over $200 worth of stuff at the one further down St. Catherine, biggest and best selection out of all three. I would hurry if you want small sizes, I already took most of them :).
There was a x-mas parade too, but it's over now.

i was down at the eaton centre today at around 10am and there were only medium/large, X-large and XXL sizes.. Some of the clothing looked pretty alright, but it's materials were pure crap.. The selections in store are the same from last year's 50% off event. How do i know? Because i recognized a few things that i bought last year during the same event!! Wow, they sure store old clothes for quite awhile. I'd laugh if i see the same selections next year
