Anyone have this card?
Did they change the 'Capital One Prime + 1%' card to Capital One Prime +0.9% Platinum MasterCard? Other than the rate, are the term exactly the same? Does this rate apply to Cash Advances (on their site, it only says: purchases and balance transfers)

I want to use this as an unsecured revolving personal LOC. I saw somewhere the cash advances rate is 19.8%? but how's that different than a balance transfer?

I think their SmartSwitch balance transfer can be done anytime. So someone could just do a 'balance transfer' into another credit card with no balance, then just do a cash advance on the 'excess amount' from that second card.
Has anyone tried this?

cash advance is hard cash given to you when you use your CC at an ATM. this is almost ALWAYS subject to the full rate of 15-22% because it is a premium service.

a BT is a balance currently on another CC (through purchases, etc) that you want to bring onto your new card to take advantage of low interest rate promotions, etc.
No cash is involved.

Why not just get a line of credit with a good rate?

The "full rate" of the Capital One prime + 1 cards *is* prime plus one. It is the rate for all charges and cash advances. My wife used to have one (canceled it years ago - wish we hadn't since I don't think we'd quality anymore :/ )

If you quality for this card it is awesome, it has a better rate than most LOC at the banks.
