Setup my PS3 online with the Linksys wireless router (WRT54GL) purchased last week. After reading all the people discuss here, I decided to flash to tomato firmware v1.11. Use my PS3 scan for the signal, I only got around 50%.
Keep in mind, my router is at the basement with my PS3 is up on the 2nd floor in my bedroom, that should be part of the reason. But I am wondering is anything I can do to boost up the signal to approx. 70 - 80%, which I will be very happy about.
Please help!

Before I am planning to use $$$ to boost up my signal, I would like to hear if any change in the configuration will help.

This might work for you. It seems a little ridiculous, and although I've got the same router I haven't tried it myself. On the flipside, people say that it works and all that it'll cost you is probably some time. Make sure you check the comments for more links and info, too:
