Decided to paint the kitchen a dark red colour. Its an open concept kitchen, so not a lot of wall surface area.
Bought some CIL satin(heard its not the best) from HD with tinted primer as well. Was told to put down one coat of primer, then start with the colour. We've done 3 colour coats now and it doesn't look even. You can really tell where the overlap in rolling and cutting happened, the overlap areas are darker than the rest.
Did we not put enough paint on the roller and brush? Seems a little thin to me, as you can slightly see through the paint. I also see some popped air bubbles that appear on occasion throughout.
Should I keep going with another coat, but slightly thicker? How do I know how much paint to put on, we are using 13mm pile rollers. This seems to be the answer, I just don't want to compound the problem with more paint.
I tested putting more paint on behind the fridge, and it seems to help in giving it a more even coat. There is still some air bubbles, am I moving the roller to quick? Or going over it too many times where all the paint is off the roller.
Thanks for any help!!
