If you previously got it for $10 and now it's $15, how is this a hot deal?

I have this one, but I don't recommend it even for $10. The microphone doesn't deliver your voice quite well.
BTW, the sale price is the regular price at Staples.

Yeah, i definitely wouldn't recommend this one. Mic sucks, but so does the band. Wearing it hurts my ears. I got mine for $10 or so at Staples.

as you can see, some RFDers are new to the forum.

though i got it for $10, for new people joining in $14.99 is the best price at this point unless you can travel back in time :D

I went to Factory Direct last week. Actually they sell the same BRAND NEW Logitech Headset for $4.99, but you can only get 90 days warranty for the headset. It said refurb. on the receipt (as well their flyer), it's hard to get a PM oppotunity.

it is terrible, i bought one for my sister who chat alot, broke after 1 month

while my 20$(from staples) Logitech USB headset 250 is still going strong. I use it pretty much everyday to get on vent.

i got this from factory direct couple years back for 4.99...the microphone sucked and the band hurts your ear!

I have a higher end logitech headset which works flawlessly

That looks almost exactly like the headset I used for a few months that I paid $2.00 for at the dollar store.

I dont think anyone should buy this as this is not a good item at all. My office used it thanks to our previous IT manager and we actually throw all of them out (about 40) becoz it's a garbage device.

However this is personal opinion to me and my office.

This headset sucks, if you wear it for too long your ears will start to hurt. I wouldn't get an other set if they paid me to take it.. which is what they did the first time around

I can't stand headsets that "clip on" and around the ear, it gets incredibly uncomfortable after a while.

So I'm back in the market for a new headset again (after I broke my USB one ><).

Probably will pick one up from CC any recommendations between:
http://canadacomputers.com/main.php?do=ShowProduct&cmd=pd&pid=008820&cid=495.958

or the one I used to have:

http://canadacomputers.com/main.php?do=ShowProduct&cmd=pd&pid=009294&cid=495.958

.. How do they compare, I've used the USB one, and think it was pretty great, good sound, and mic is great. But I wouldn't mind getting the other if I can save a few bucks without much compromise.

No amount of savings is worth the pain these cause to your ears.
