35-40 is a good estimate.
I take this route regularly and its pretty much on time unless theres a jumper.
Happens about once a week?

are there actually jumpers in Toronto? I know for sure it happens a lot in one day in Japan. There were many days where there were problems on the subway line and I always wonder if they were jumpers.

Yes.

Electrical problems = jumpers.

I learned that this year from a TTC guy. Also, most likely to happen on Friday after work according to the TTC guy.

Last summer ...I picked up my brother from Lawrence station because there was an "electrical problem" and they had to evacuate.

Poor guy...he found out the hard way that it wasn't an "electrical problem" when they opened a door 3 meters away from him : a stretcher rolled out and he could tell it was a body underneath the covers. The freaky part is that the body's feet should be stickin' up, but it was straight all the way through.

That's the point. Suicide is sociological, based on social stability. These poor people realize they only live for work, while everyone else goes out with their friends, or home to their family. Makes sense for the peak rate to be on a Friday.
