I know they are available (probably very expensive), but I have not seen them for sale anywhere. Does anyone know who sells dimmable CFL's in Canada? I'm looking for standard bulbs, chandelier bulbs, and floods, for the various fixtures in my house. Everything non-dimmable has been cahnged, so I'd like to change these.

Pretty sure you can get them from Rona, Home Depot, etc... They're usually called 'Dimmable CFLs'.

Thanks for the suggestions, and a special thanks to santas slayer for not saying "search is your friend". I only searched the green forum, not the whole site. Guess I will be checking out the local HD/Rona, as well as Litemor. Unfortunately the list that Jac linked to does not have any dimmable chandelier bulbs, as these are the ones I want to replace the most. I'll update this topic if I find any.

I went to lowes in Brampton and picked up the sylvannia ones, 11$ for a 100w replacement - no problems thus far.. No problems. it all depends on the dimmers you use. the old style mechanical ones, or even the new ones that slide do not work well with these bulbs.

get a 30$ dimmer with the buttons that have different light levels preset and you will not have trouble with either dimmable cfls (or leds)
