I'm looking to tailor a few of my shirts and probably dress pants too.

Any suggestions for a good quality tailor service in Toronto? Thanks!

i just had 4 of my jeans hemmed by Studio Kim, 766 King street West. Took me one hour to get there but it was worth it. She is such a sweet lady, hemmed my jean perfectly :) love the work she done on them. Never trusting another pair of jean to "stitch it" I asked them to give me a 1/4 hem, and they didnt. Thats not all, the stupid tailor told me to TAKE OFF MY SHOE before measuring. SO when i got them hemed, it was too short. luckily i kept hte material and now it is fixed

Highly recommanded: Studio Kim
that place is also recommanded under myfav in toronto

Haven't personally used them for shirts but heard very positive reviews:
Thornhill tailors, on Yonge st., near Centre st.

If your around the Scarborough Town Center, there store called the Quick Stitch Tailor Shoppe. It is located underground between the McDonalds and a DVD store.

If you are just getting alterations or fresh cuts on non-hand-stitched items, I wouldn't really worry where you go. If it's just hemming, meh... you can get it done anywhere fairly safely.

Thanks guys for your input!! I've been fairly busy but I managed to check out a few places :)

I guess in the end DrLee is right...for basic alternations most places are about the same.

@xinhang:

I agree! I went to a 'Stitch It' before...and the service wasn't good at all. The staff didn't seem to know much, and didn't have a clue of the prices. They weren't that friendly and very unprofessional.
