Yeah would be nice if they had the 500 point free shipping promo again soon to save the $40 or so on shipping charges on larger items like LCD monitors.I would buy the dead pixel coverage too so the savings on shipping would cover that cost.Anyway there are no savings at all on the Benq G2400W this week.It is included in the sale but it as a huge savings of $0.Nice savings on that sale price NCIX.... It is just included in the sale at regular price so it might be a mistake and the sale price will show up later.

My son ended up with the Future Shop one after Christmas and it's basically the same units as these. The video card is the DDR2 one... but, frankly, it smokes and it is upgradeable. Vista Premium runs way better with SP1 installed (got it just before they pulled it but it'll be back in a month).

I'll say this half-jokingly, but there's no such thing as a "free shipping Fairy". While we understand shipping fees are a pain, anyone that offers "free shipping" builds it in somewhere into the price you pay, guaranteed. In the US, they have the luxury of MUCH cheaper shipping rates than in Canada simply because it's a much more populous country.
We try to be pretty up front with shipping, and offer what we think is "good value" with programs like Express Shipping (you try and send something across the country for $10 or $15 overnight and see how much it costs!!!).
While we run occasional promotions around shipping, it's frankly very expensive and in the long term would affect overall pricing.
We don't claim to have the best price, or even the very best of anything, but I believe we care about our customers, and do our best to make sure they're taken care of, and that we offer stuff that even die-hard RFDers occasionally want.
:)

Keep things the way it is. Low shipping and mid prices are good since we can just PM with DC and still enjoy the same shipping. :) But depending on what you order it can be just cheaper directly from DC (but this way you don't get points for writing reviews on items you purchased). :D

:)
What ...no "free shipping Fairy".:-0  All joking aside it is understood that offering the free shipping promo with 500 points is expensive for NCIX but we do appreciate it when you do it.The shipping cost is usually the deciding factor for many when they are going to buy something online so we take any savings we can get.:) Even if the shipping is technically not free people love seeing free shipping being plastered on ads and most times persuades them to buy something.

true enough...
but even then, you'd see those "WTF?!?!? $10 s/h for a stick of RAM? what a rip off" kinds of posts every now-and-then... :

$15 s/h killed it? lol WTH? :-0
$45 + tax for a projector. i don't think you'd find that deal anywhere else, even on clearance....

Much better than Dell's price error notice IMO, props to NCIX.

i'm sure NCIX is aware of this. they can compare stats of the # of orders for any normal wkly sale vs. # of orders for a sale that offered the free s/h promo
obviously when they do have the promo, most orders are f/ RFD :cheesygri

i think that was FS/BB's basis for developing their "consumer market"
free s/h was pretty damn nice back then. not to mention thx to that it made stooples online PMing during the 150% PMing days so much easier/convenient compared to now....

Yes, it will be a huge difference. I highly recommend skipping the 8600 series in general and to get a 8800GT. You can get them now for $200 after rebate, which is a really good deal. You won't regret it.

I heard the 9800 line will be out soon so if you can wait a couple of weeks then I'd do that and see the price on these drop even more :cheesygri

i suppose for $200 the 8800gt is a good price. but i dont want to spend that much on a video card. heh.. thats how much i bought my compaq pc haha..
well i guess i'll wait till ONE DAY it will drop to like 100$....
i only play dota and a mmo atm so works fine.
havent even bought a game like crysis yet so i'm in no rush i guess.
just waiting for my FAVOURITE computer shop NCIX to drop that price...
:!: :!: :!:
whenever they drop the 5300 240pin 2gb ram i'd jump on that tho.

heh, don't even get me started on that.
usually IF they offer some compensation, it's just a measily 5% off e-cert (FS) or DD (BB)... lame
the best i recall getting f/ them was $10 discount code. ... and that was yrs ago....

it's usually stickied for a few days and then taken down.
i'm guessing TD's/SiG's sales are longer, hence stickied for a longer time. NCIX's sale are only 1 wk

Is the Hitachi a good HD?
I remember when they had the dreaded "Deathstar" drives
I would say they're good 2.5" HDD maker than their 3.5" division...most of the laptop from Dell, Hp, acer, sony etc all uses Hitachi...

Why do they need a sticky when they have a "Sponsored by" link on the top of the page?

well, i don't see why they need to send another email saying "GC shipped"
