Just wondering...I was at Sam's Club today, and realized they had no newborn diaper sizes (i.e. 7lbs-10lbs) and the 750mL formula cost a whopping $36 (even Sobey's had it for $24).
My membership ends in March, so I'm thinking of defecting to Costco. All you Costco members out there, is the baby situation better over there? Thanks!

Last time I was at costco, the price for wipes was significantly less than at Loblaws or Toys R Us or Wal Mart (the places had in memory at the time).
The problem I had with diapers was that we prefer Pampers, and they only sell Huggies and Kirkland, so no go for us. Maybe it is just our daughter's shape, but every Huggies diaper we put on her meant a leak and soiled onesie, sleeper, blanket and bucket seat.
For the device that is supposed to hold the goods in, I was not willing to compromise brands.
What brands does Sam's Club carry for Diapers?

Sam's carries Pampers and Huggies. Prices seem okay ($36 for a big box).

We used both formula and wipes from Costco and liked both. My daughter too seems to prefer Pampers over Huggies/Kirkland brand for diapers.

I personally would not get the Costco membership just for diapers and wipes.
You can get cheaper diapers easily at local grocery stores, SDM or walmart when they are on sale (ie. $10 for a box of 380-400 cts pampers/huggies wipes, $10-15 a bag of mega size pampers, or $30 a big box of pampers/huggies). You can also use coupons and I receive more coupons for diapers and wipes than I ever need. To do so, sign up at pampers & huggies website and also get free coupons from save.ca and local newspaper. Also check with RFD often :cheesygri
If you like store brand diapers, Teddy's choice at Loblaws/RCSS has a good review in general and they are often on sale as well.

We tried Pampers and Huggies first, but after get a recommendation for the teddy ones, we tried them. They worked best for our daughter and they're way cheaper.

We really like the Kirkland wipes. They are hypoallergenic with no sense and have a plastic lid that does not require the plastic tub. They are also great for cleaning all kind of spots and spills. We to prefer the pampers and Costco does not sell them any more. We might try the Kirkland ones again (they are made by huggies) as they seem to be cheaper (around the 22 cents each).

we prefer pampers (huggies just doesn't work for my son..it leaks everywhere)..but they don't sell it in costco. so sometimes we drive down to the states and buy a tonne of diapers (they're cheaper)
as for wipes, we find the kirkland ones much better than pampers or huggies. whenever we used pampers/huggies wipes, they always left some white paper residue on my son...
if you're looking for store-brand diapers..i would suggest the walmart ones (the ones with garfield on the box..forgot the brand). they're just as absorbent as pampers and they didn't leak!! they also have flexi-tabs..and they're about $4 cheaper per pack than pampers

grew up with pampers, however since costco no longer sells tried huggies & kirkland. didn't like kirkland as seemed too bulky compared to pampers. for some reason (like previous post) huggies seemed to leak quite a lot, so now it's stocking up on pampers whereever there's a sale..walmart or loblaws and combining with $4 off coupon.

We were into organic cloth diapers for the first 3 weeks as well, until I actually read the list of things that can go into the Green Bin.
Once we found out that disposables are biodegradeable and go in the Green Bin, that we wouldnt have crappy diapers sitting around smelling up our house, we ditched the cloth ones and ran to Loblaws :)

well .. u still need a membership to get in .. i'm sure you'll fine some really cheap and reasonable prices regarding all your baby needs ... and if your not satisfied with them, just go to Customer Service and ask to get your money back from the membership.

I just got a Costco membership, and had a look at the Kirkland diapers. I was surprised, the Huggies there were actually CHEAPER per diaper than the Kirklands for the same sizes. It looks like Kirklands are actually one size larger than other brands, though? Judging by the weight ranges, I mean.
We bought some 4's for my son, who usually wears 5's, and they same the same size, or maybe even a little bigger.

I have a costco membership but I don't go to Costco or Sam's Club for my baby needs. I need choices and variety so I end up going to Zellers or Walmart and the prices are decent.
