Looking for one of those things that strap on the side of the crib. Figure maybe our daughter can keep herself busy with it for a bit when she wakes up in the morning. Anyone have any suggestions? Preferably one with the ability to lower the volume. :cheesygri

a musical mobile...not sure if you have that.
my daughter loves that thing...makes her poo!....other than that...we try not to let her play in the crib. Because we want to make sure she associates her crib as for sleeping and not for playing.

She is 8 months old now and we had to take the mobile down. Looking for something she can activate/press buttons herself that might keep her busy for a bit in the morning.

Get a Classic Pooh™ Swirl and Twirl Mobile - it has the overhead mobile part that rotates, but you can remove that and leave only the base attached to the side of the crib. Our son loved all the buttons on the front, and it wasn't long before he figured out what each button did and knew exactly the order to push them in to get it to do what he wanted. Consider it training your child for the 21st century. :D Then he discovered the other buttons on the side and top that are supposed to be for mommy and daddy. :D

We're on our 2nd ocean wonders aquarium, the 2.5 year old took his to his big boy bed with him and the in laws bought the new version for the new baby.
very soothing.
