My friend has vista and after me telling her numerous times install XP and i got her all the drivers and software she decided to keep vista. I gave her a DI524 router i had around so she could have wireless on her laptop and its been working fine. Her Desktop computer and laptop were working great. Recently shes been having a weird problem only on her laptop. She cant browse using Firefox or IE, can't log in on Msn Messenger but her LimeWire can connect and download at full proper speeds. She says her "2 flashing computer icon" on the taskbar appears but a globe doesn't appear in there and she says it used to appear before. I got her to do a repair but nothing, got her to restart both modem and router but nothing and imma prob look at it myself sometime soon when i can go over but wondering if theres any way i'm missing that she can do without having to wait. Is there any program i can send her to set her internet settings to Default, as i believe that something has been changed in the network settings. or is there any program that succesfuly tweaks vistas internet settings for performance over cable internet or dsl
