Seems like the new elph has already come out. So basically it is about 100 dollars over the SD1000. I believe they are of the same size and weight but the SD1100 has IS which I read makes a lot of difference in low light shots.

Now, I have seen some Canon SD850IS for 232 shipped but I like the small size of SD1000/1100.

Do you guys think its wiser to go for SD1100 for a little more over the other two? Thanks

id say no, i wouldnt buy it from a place like that ebay store you linked. For only $10 more (which is actually cheaper cause there is no shipping) you can pick it up from a retail store. Plus you will get a Canadian Warranty.

I would never buy one of those camera kits on ebay, never a good deal

Really? But the price has so much more add ons in it like a 4gb memory card, etc.

But anyways, I had been reading reviews from various sites and it seems like even the SD1000 takes sharper and better pictures than the new SD1100. Makes me think why they are making such a big deal with IS. I guess I will settle for SD1000.
