I just picked up Brawl today and have started looking for wireless controllers I can use on the Wii since the Wii remote isn't optimal. Since Wavebirds are hard to find and cannot be used for virtual console games and also lack rumble they are out of the picture..

This seems to be the greatest jack of all trades wireless controller out for the Wii and I want to know WHERE THE HELL CAN I GET IT IN CANADA?!?!
It can play Gamecube, Virtual consoles game, it's wireless has rumble that can be shut on/off, turbo switch, mappable buttons:

Price = $15-$20

Even Nintendo's discontinued wavebird (which is expensive now) doesn't have rumble being wireless.. I only change the batteries once a month and I use it an hour/day?

Here's an IGN review of it 9/10:

Awww yes, the Thrustmaster :twisted:. I've made countless jokes at work about this controller when I had to use the PC version at work (QA tester) for a couple of days. I don't know about this Wii version but if it's anything like the one I used, it's a piece of crap.

It looked cheap, it felt cheaper and the functionality was below par even for a cheap controller solution. I'm pretty sure better 3rd party controllers will be out soon if there's a demand from Brawl players.

*In my best Rock god voice* The Thrustmaster has left the building!!! *throws controller*

got questions about this in my pm.. bumping this thread to help others.

I got mine off ebay for around $30 with shipping last year? It's still great, took time to get used to because it's pretty small, but still comfortable.
I am a god online in brawl with this thing now.

I have yet to see another 3rd party controller with similar features.

How does the controller compare to the official wireless controller by Nintendo?

The Thrustmaster looks kind of like a cross b/w a playstation controller and an xbox one

nothing beats the official nintendo ones when it comes to feel. But the official nintendo ones don't work on both GC and VC or have wireless rumble.

1)Classic controller = has wire, no rumble, doesn't work on gamecube
2)wireless gamecube wavebird = no rumble, doesn't work on virtual console. Button layout sucks for anything other than gamecube.

so it's like pick your poison, you can't have it all with any nintendo option..
The Thrustmaster controller has it all..
