KEF Speakers

Anyone have an experience with KEF? I've got a line for a good deal on the

KHT1005.2 5.1 Speaker system. I'm installing it in a 12x12 room, and need something small and decent. I've not found to many reviews on it, so I thought I would ask here if anyone has any thoughts on them, I want to pair them up with the Sony 910 amp. Any suggestions or thoughts on this would be great.

I can get the KEF package for $449, and the Sony reciever for $349.99. Just thought I would see what everyones thoughts were.

I have the 2005's in my 12x12 room, it's certainly a great speaker system. It's also not very overpowering, despite my small room. NCIX were selling the 2005's for as low as $499 in the past, I don't know if you can still get this amazing price, but I think you'll like them a lot better than then 1005's. I've checked both sets out at 2001 Audio/Video (I never buy stuff at this ripoff place, but they're the only ones in GTA that displays the KEFs) and the 2005's look wayyyyyy better. The subwoofer that comes with the set is also much more natural sounding.

I agree. Go with the 2005. Got mine from NCIX for $650 all in inc. shipping to Toronto. Probably the best value small speaker package.

Yeah, I've got this KEF speaker system and it's great. Nice and small speakers, but the sound is good. The sub is very good too - not too big, just right.

Kef makes great speakers, I own their 2005.2 system and it sounds great. I bought mine from Top Choice Electronics in Woodbridge. I believe they have one set left which they are clearing out for $599.99. Ask for Vik.

buy them but might want to choose a pioneer in front of a sony like the one on sale at FS recently.
