$16 Shipping stopped me
Thanks S_G, very good prices compared to Toronto. But I agree with WWWilson, shipping is expensive this time. A buyer really has to do the math to ensure it's the best deal after including shipping.

$16 stopped me
It supposes no GST applied for outside BC. If you buy more than $200 stuff, it will be OK for the shipping cost.

I was happy when I saw the Sapphire X3650 (http://www.anitec.ca/sale/s9u5ny167q/10960/) graphics card I wanted on special, but did a quick 180 turnaround when the savings turned out to be a whole dollar :D.

You save one dolla per week, in one year you'll have enough to eat at a fine dining restaurant! :D :D :D

It burns DVDs, reads HD DVDs, no Blu-ray support. Click on the page and you'll see the specs.

If you buy two of the drives, it's only $14.15 for shipping
$262.55 total out the door including shipping and taxes.
$262.55/2/1.13= $116.18. It's almost like buying it locally in the GTA for $116.18 + taxes. That's still a hot deal.

This drive does not burn anything; it's purely a reader.

Ah, you are right. My apologies. The line that reads "Max 5X DVD±R/ 5X DVD+RW/ 5X DVD-RW/ 5X DVD±R (DL)" does not have "read" appended to the end of it unlike the rest, and is completely useless since all DVD discs are READ at the same speed as DVD-ROM.
Still a good deal, especially if you're building an ultra-quiet HTPC. This is reportedly the quietest optical drive around, and also includes PowerDVD HD.
