Hey everyone i recently bought the nutella hazelnut spread and i tried it and it tastes pretty good! I was wondering what are the alternatives to eat nutella besides spreading it on a slice of bread and eating it. Are there combinations of nutella/peanut butter or jelly? So far i just ate it as is spread on a slice of bread and its getting boring. I only used a bit of the jar so far and was looking for new ways to eating it! thanks!

Nutella is pretty good in crepes (chuck some fresh strawberry slices on top).... you can also make french toast nutella sandwiches which are awsome for breakfast.... my Italian friends used to make sandwiches using nutella and arrowroot or rich tea cookies and dip them in just about everything, but it was best in a bowl of tea or hot chocolate or milk...
... it is actually just a great snack with Italian breadsticks as dippers....
oh... yes... and on ice cream....
... yup... I like the stuff!:o

Cut a croissant into half (horizontal), spread some Nutella in the croissant, then close up the croissant = Chocolate Croissant :)

But seriously, how about on a chocolate cupcake? you know what? Nutella tastes good with everything. You can't go wrong with it.
If you feel like cooking, whip up some pancakes with pancake mix. Spread nutella on a pancake, place some sliced bananas on the nutella; roll up the pancake and bon appetit! (I haven't actually tried this because it's too dangerous to keep Nutella in my home ... but let me know how it turns out!)

You should buy PC Hazelnut spread instead. It has MORE hazelnuts. Nutella pads their spread with Peanut Oil instead. Read the labels. PC one is cheaper and has better ingredients. You're paying more for crap.

I will spread it inbetween the layers of the birthday cakes for my kids. Reg icing on the outside. They love.
With celery. You can pretend you are eating healthy :).
Use for dipping strawberries in.

This is true, also PC one has natural bourbon vanilla (not sure if the nutella has vanilla at all). On the other hand people could also buy 100% hazelnut butter instead which has no sugar and tastes great.

Nutella and sliced banana and/or strawberries on a tortilla shell, roll & eat it. Mix it up with marshmallow spread. OMFG that's good!
Spread in thin crepes/ployes, pancakes, muffins.
I also like in in between 2 white sugar cookies.

You forgot the important part. Put the croissant in the oven for 5-10 minutes... the result is absolutely insane.

I've made Nutella Cake before link (http://www.sugoodsweets.com/blog/2006/03/nutella-cake/)[sugoodsweets.com]. It was kind of lop-sided cause I didn't mix it enough, but it wasn't bad. Putting it in a cake made the flavor less intense, but still good.
Normally, nutella + banana with or without bread/eggos. YUM!

I disagree with the icecream as it gets hard.
I just eat a big gob right off the spoon.

PC brand has hydrogenated palm oil and 4g of trans fat per serving.

Dufflets has a good cakelet available at loblaws it has layers of hazelnut cake with nutella mousse inbetween, its delicious.
I second the nutella crepes warmed a bit so the nutella melts add some sliced soft fruits as well like strawberries, kiwi or banana, then top with some vanilla icecream.
Also straight up nutella on a knife
I recommend the proper Italian nutella brand, if you go to a Italian store keep an eye out for Nutella in a glass bottle, it tastes the best!

I like this idea -- because tortillas can sit ready to eat on your shelf while making crepes is not something I'd want to do when I'm in a rush
Will try it

I won a dishwasher in a recipe contest about 12 yrs ago with
this one
take a pound cake slice it like slices of bread about 3/4 cm thick
put nutella on the slices and chopped strawberries or bananas put two slices together like a sandwhich and grill with a panini press (I had the frying pan and foiled covered brick in those days) now I have a nice electric panini maker so its much easier
grill untill the cakes lightly toasts and the fruit gets heated
you need to watch the cake can burn easy
some times I mist the cake with frangelico liquor before I grill it

They changed the formula now. I just bought some it says 0 grams trans fat and it doesn't use hydrogenated palm oil. It uses canola and partially hydrogenated palm oil or something.

European Nutella is better than the stuff over here. That's where I first had it, too.
Favourite ways of eating it: #1) spread on, then licked off s.o. (or friend for the night)
#2) spread on crepes
#3) pineapple fritters with Nutella-&-rum flavoured whipped cream (made this last weekend, yum!)
#4) Nutella Hot Dogs! (use a banana instead of a sausage and use Nutella instead of ketchup)
#5) on toast

Did anyone notice on the tv commercial for Nutella in that soft gentle voice the woman coo's how it's made from hazlenuts, milk and a hint of chocolate. Odd how they don't mention the main ingredient by weight and volume is sugar..

Always make this for my daughter:
Pit a cherry. Fill hole with Nutella. She loves them and, I admit, me too.

i love it with peanut butter. There's a Nutella cookie recipe floating around too. I think its similar to peanut butter cookies but just replace the peanut butter with Nutella.
i'm gonna try deep's suggestion of dipping almonds in it. That sounds SOO GOOD.

+1 crepes with nutella and strawberries! Mmmmm...
Also my kids put 1-2 tablespoons of Nutella into a cup of warm milk, it is a very mild taste but they love it!

I only like nutella three different ways.
-peel a banana, cut out a wedge of it, fill with nutella and mini marshmellows, place peel back, wrap in tin foil and throw in the campfire for five minutes
-on a spoon
-on my hubby :cheesygri
