Hey everyone,

Where can I eat Pho in a tomato soup base? I know it sounds strange but at the Midland and Finch Pho, they have a Pho which is in a tomatoy red soup. Its NOT spicy at all. Just tastes a little sweet like tomatoes. I haven't been able to find it anywhere else either. I would also like to know what it's called. (I forgot!!!)

Which Pho has this??

Bun Rieu doesn't have pork. It has ground shrimp and crab, and maybe some tofu too.

what you are referring to is Pho with beef brisket in tomato soup or "ow lam kae ho" in cantonese.

The place at Midland and Finch has another location at Steeles and Silver Star Blvd. I prefer the Silver Star location....the midland and finch one is very ghetto esp the customers.

OP...im not sure what you are request...you want it spicy?...why not just add hot sauce?

it does have pork...ground pork.

and depending which pho restaurant, some put pig's blood in it as well...

I love Pho with beef brisket in tomato soup,
but if not make properly, the soup can be very oily.

I've been here before... Nothing special at all, but paid 8 dollars for a bowl of pho (I think it was large). Tastes the same as most of the other vietnamese restaurants.
