I;ve got an AM2 mobo (Asus M2N-E) and one of the tabs that holds the CPU heatsink in place, broke off/
Where can I find a replacement? What are they even called?
I went to a few local computer shops, but they had nothing....

Try calling Asus, they may send you a free one.
Otherwise, any store carrying thermalright should be able to order this

Not that anyone uses the search feature on forums any more, but here's the conclusion:
I ditched the mount altogether, and bought a new heatsink that bolts directly to the Mobo.

Everything is back up and working brilliantly.
