When selecting the court option, it says that, "either you or an agent must attend in person to indicate your intention" (or something of that sort)
Who is this agent? Can I do it if it's my dad's ticket?

Agent - someone who represents you, your interests and makes decisions that can bind you into any agreement as you have given them the consent and authority to do so.
Yes, you can be the agent for your father, it's not a problem.
