This is a CPU fan from a Dell Dimension. It blows to the rear and I can't find one like it on the Tigerdirect.ca site. Is this a common fan? Any ideas where I can get it in the GTA?

No, it's not a common fan ... However, I am thinking you might be able to use some kind of slim version HSF to replace that ...

That's almost identical to the cooler that the HD2900XT OEM edition uses. It's a blower, not a fan. I have one but it's not with me right now. You can buy it from Active Surplus in downtown. I'm not sure if it comes with a connector or not. You might need to solder your own connector on there.

Thanks. I was hoping to get one locally but I may have to order from eBay.

Dell Dimension 4600C. That would be great if you can find one.

A1 Surplus is such a jumbled mess. I don't want to go searching in there. As for Active Surplus on Queen, I think it would be hit and miss. Don't want to drive to either of these places to dig around and find they don't have them. I'll just pay $20 for the eBay auction unless Techhead can locate one for me.
I can still use the PC with the cover off to keep it cool.

Ha ha. This is the exact same fan I'm looking for too. I searched ebay and the link willy posted was the same guy I was going to buy from (cheapest shipping compared to others). In the end I decided to hold off since the fan on my GX270 power supply is also dead. It still turns on but the power supply gets very very hot. The machine shuts down probably due to thermal trigger but don't know if it is power supply or CPU fan (with case open).
Techhead:
Don't suppose you know if the PS is good on that GX260 you parted? Or even another fan? Especially if it is free :) (I'll of course pay shipping)

There's these two, but they're just fans/blowers, not a heat sink ... plastic on the underside.

Thanks rabbit. Weird thing is I checked DX first and didn't find any. I guess my search keyword wasn't good enough.
The second one (9605) is actually one that is in another unit I saw for my model. And the pictures on DX with the barcodes are actually Dell OEM units (whether or not that is what they send is another question). Also, the fan connector looks correct as the first fan's (9604) connector doesn't look correct eventhough it is also 3-pin.
The fan is all I need. The heatsink should fit it.
Also a public thanks to Techhead for checking to see if he could source another fan.
