Hello all,

I'm trying to find a good paint/body shop to take one of my cars in to get a spot paint job. The car was keyed about 6 inches down the driver's side quarterpanel. I've attempted a touchup paint job but it didn't turn out great so I'm looking at getting a spot job now. Any suggestions are appreciated!

Thanks!

One place I would not recommend PAG on Florence St, next to the Subaru dealership. We had a windshield replaced and the place that replaced the windshield scratched the paint pretty badly around the window. We took it there to be fixed and they apparently did not remove the windshield, though they said it was removed. They only repainted around the windshield or did not paint the arear properl and did not fix all the damage that was there. There was bare metal left unpainted under the weatherstrip and it has subsequently rusted. We need to fix the rust as it will put pressure on the top of the windshield and possibly crack it. Oh, and they will not cover the rust even though the job is still within their warranty period. To top it off, the paint does not match the car either - close, but not a match.

That's just crap... it's disgusting that these body shops get away with this too... thanks for the heads up, I would prefer to avoid situations like that!

Any ideas folks? How about an approx. cost you think this will cost to fix? I've heard anywhere from $400 - $900 but I would like to see if it can be done cheaper.
