Just got a speeding ticket today for doing 25 over in a 50 zone. After taking a close look at the ticket The year the officer stated as my vehicle is '09 when actually it is an '08. Is this enough for the ticket to be thrown out?
Another thing, the officer told me to take it to first offence court and said that they'll drop it to 10 over with no points or drop it completely. My question is, if I take the 10 over with no points deal, will that affect my insurance in any way?
Any advice is greatly appreciated

if you take a deal, you are still pleading guilty, and it counts as a conviction. Call your insurance company to see it how much they will increase your premiums.

Errors on tickets are not a valid reason for throwing out a ticket.

Please do a search next time as this has been answered many times. The year is when your validation sticker expires and not the year of your vehicle.

how many times has this come up over the last week? its not the year of the vehicle but the year your plate expires. there should be a pop-up about this everytime someone makes a thread about tickets.
