Does electrical inspection for new home from the Electrical Safety Authority usually happen before the closing date?
Anyway, the inspector came for the final inspection after the closing. And the day he came, I had someone working on wiring and adding additional electrical outlets in the basement. The inspector told me that I need to call and arrange for the permit to do. So, I called and they charged me $70 something on the credit card for that, and arranged another inspection. But, the inspector didn't show up on the appointment. I am thinking whether I should deny the permit charge on the credit card? or will that invite trouble (--> the inspector will come and pick on whatever was done in the basement)? Any comments?
