I am currently with Bell, on an EPP. OUTSIDE of contract (free to leave with 30 days notice).

Not happy with the EPP anymore.. there many other EPPs that are better, and virtually all retention plans are better. Problem is, getting that retention plan is next to impossible. My family has 3 lines on Bell, I called to cancel my son's (he had already gotten a new plan somewhere else) and I explained to the "cancellation department" that I was taking my business elsewhere when I found a better deal too. The woman told me to fax in the deal sheet that I wanted, and she would migrate me to that plan. Been 3 days.. no call. This is the second time that I was told I would get a call back in a day or so, and nothing. I think they do that to get off the phone, hoping the customer will just forget about it.

If I was to call up telus and explain the plan that I have (and what I am looking for to jumpt ship) and that I would port my number to them if they were to accomodate it.. are they generally open to that? If so.. do I call Telus CS or Telus retentions?

I want that HTC Touch Diamond. (the Pro really.. but....we still don't know when it is coming out.)... so I will settle....

There is a link on the Telus Mobility page for switching over and it will outline all the steps for you. You can even punch in your number to make sure it can be transferred.

On Telus page go to:
Products & Services
--->
Switch to Telus
--->
Switch to Telus (Link on Left side of Screen)

Might be able to snag a match with a Telus EPP if it's better than what you have with Bell presently... $20/m 150 + 150 bonus local, 6pm to 7am unltd, conf call/call wait, vox mail incl.

It's the third column under "Sweet Deal - Talk a Lot 25".
Hope the link works for you.

That plan is Available in MB, SK for new activations [on a 2 or 3 year contract] done before August 5, 2008. Could always call and ask though.
