Yes, it is pretty much the same deal, but the original thread was moved to the "Expired Deals" section.
The EPP link is here:

The CS said the the BT option was holding things up(?) and they eliminated it to speed up delivery.

good to see that its back on....!
many seemed to get lost finding the deal in the other thread.
- go to www.visaperks.ca
- select 'lenovo' from the merchant drop down on the left
- click notebooks, etc...find the SL400
- add/remove options to lower price as you'd like (i.e. windows, battery, bluetooth, dvd burner, etc).

how are you guys getting it down to 495? the absolute cheapest i can get it down to is ~522. i already ordered mine last week for $525 with T5670 C2D, 2GB of RAM, Vista Basic, 6-Cell, but i'm wondering if i can get it cheaper.
also, the EPP thing doesn't seem to work on the SL series. i tried applying the coupon, but it just goes to a blank page.

EPP didn't work for me before, but now its working. the same config would be like 8 bucks cheaper... not worth the hassle of canceling and reordering. oh well, still got a good deal.

Bit the bullet as well. Bought it with base + dvd/r drive.
I have recieved the order confirmation. With Dell it used to be an order confirmation, then an order approval, and then a status email. Is it the same with IBM?
Thanks!!

for those ordering from EPP site, there will be no refund on your purchase, imo, not worth the risk by saving few bucks.

It says on the order page, under term and conditions.
However, if you know what you want, then you are probably not going to return it. But I have read some people being able to return EPP products. Don't know of the details.

Yes the terms and conditions say you can't return EPP products. From what I've read from notebookreview.com many people have returned EPP products with no hassel. Don't tell the CS rep over the phone you bought through EPP and you'll be fine. There's a lot of information about Lenovo EPP over at their forums.

no one upgraded to double the HD space for $28?
and what's better, vibrant view or antiglare? is that glossy vs matte?

yup. a glossy screen improves contrast and (imo) looks better with the sacrifice of having glare and being prone to finger prints. i went with the vibrant view personally.

They increased the base price with EPP from 495 to 560.
Anyone received their order confirmation yet?
