My laptop spec indicated that it has a pci slot for ExpressCard/54 Slot and where exactly is this slot? is it beside the DVD drive where you can also put the HP remote control? the reason i ask, it's because my wireless integrated adapter got fried last night and i need a new replacement for a new wireless adapter.

i just looked inside the slot where i put my hp remote control and found out that it's impossible to put a wireless adapter into it because it has a strange shape inside the slot like there's something which might block the adapter from going in

can anyone help out? thanks

Yes, pretty sure it's where the remote goes (the remote is odd-shaped right?)

You can also replace the internal wireless card too; chances are it's mini-PCI so it's easy to swap out.

yea the remote is an odd shape so not sure how the wireless express adapater will fit into it

that will be great, but i dont want too much of a hassle unless you got some info on how to do it

This should work too, if your machine has PCI-E (probably does since you have express card):
