If anybody is looking at the 4GB Kingston SD card.. I dont think it is that great of a deal.. Canada computer has the Patriot 4GB Class 6 for a dollar cheaper..

It is a very good price for the Sony T2.

Only compared with the MSRP. I bought a similar Sony (7MP) (T70?) from Staples a few months back for $150, about $100 less than FS/BB were selling it for, but ended up returning it as I found its touch-screen too fiddly and gimmicky. There was a big price "savings" but it wasn't the right camera for me. Went with a 6MP Casio for a bit less and I'm very happy with it. Its slimness makes it a bit difficult to grip firmly, but that's the case with all slim cameras. Key to me though was that it uses my existing SD cards, whilst the Sonys require Memory Sticks - extra cost, and less compatible with non-Sony products.

Just noticed - 4GB internal memory - lots of photo taking room, but camera would need to be hooked up to a computer to transfer the photos. SD cards are handy as you can just pop them out and stick them in your card reader/printer/portable media viewer and instantly access the photos directly.

That card is class2, the one at futureshop is class4.

virgoan: I have the exact opposite experience... Patriot sd card failed, losing some of my cuba pictures, but the elite pro is still goin strong :D

Does anyone have the picture frame? It seems like a decent price for the size... any comments on it?

I thought that the frame was a good deal, until I checked to see that the resolution is 640x480. Come on! Especially at that size, it should be at least 800x600!

I say the frame is cold.

I think the price for picture frame is great (just order one). Even costco is selling for 169$ (with rb). The price of 800 x 600 resolution and 10" is ~ 249$.

+2 on that one ~ besides, when you get into larger size frames, IMHO they should be audio and video capable, not just pictures.

Has anyone else bought or tested the SONY camera?
Am thinking of purchasing but would like your feedback first.

Thanks.

I'm no digital frame expert but arent people being a bit picky by saying anything under 800*600 isnt worth it ??

my 19 in lcd is 1440*900 =1.3 megapixels
the area is roughly 160 square inches

so about 8.1k pixels per square inch

the 10 inch frame is 640*480 = 307k pixels
area is 48 sq inch

which gives us 6.4k pixels per square inch.

So the frame's resolution should be pretty close from that of a regular lcd monitor. Has anybody actually seen such a frame before saying how ugly it looks ?
