Got last set of Chef Tony's Miracle Blade III 11-pc knife set for $7.5 at my local SDM. It was on clearance. It's good deal to get them for less than $1 each and with life time warranty. Canadian Tire is advertising the same set for $19.99 next week. Build quality is better than Henckels International (single man) knife set I got from TSCC years ago.

You can search youtube to find TV advertisement. Here is a picture.

wouldn't this be a big YMMV since you took the last one?

Of course. It's on clearance with such price, I don't expect it to be on shelf for long. Take a look at your local store to see if you can find one.

You mileage may vary = how far you can go with the deal varies depending on a number of factors = what one person got, you won't necessarily get because of stock, employee mood, whatever...

great set for a new person moving out of mom and dads house, or for a cabin. Honestly, if you want to buy for your house, stop buying crappy knifes and buy a few good knives to last you a lifetime. A 8" chef knife, a bread knife and a small paring knife is really all you would need to be set. I have seen these go on sale at the Bay etc for good deals. IMO - hold out and buy one knife at a time to last you forever. Also buy knife guards for them each time you make a purchase.

do not buy that garbage save your money. for good ones.
they thin, bad handle, bad balance, they rust and you can not really return them
they will send you 2-5 sets for you just to keep them.

That's surprise. I thought stainless steel means it never rust.

The knife set is among those clearance summer toys and garden tools.

mine are in the drawer, never rust.. but yea their not that high quality as expected. the only thing making them unique is the ridges on the blade. not better quality steel..

I didn't expect it to be of the same quality as that of Henckels, given the price I paid. But it is definitely better than the Henckels International ( single man ) knife set I got from TSCC while ago.

As far as I can gather from reviews, these knives are not meant for the dishwasher. So if you use the dishwasher to clean them they will rust. Seems if you wash them by hand they won't rust and will last much longer.

As mentioned previously Canadian Tire has these on for $19.95. Not a great deal, unless you have CT money.

:)

Yep, When I wash them in the washer they get the rust spots. Nothing a minimal rub with an SOS pad won't get rid of.

IMO - these knives are Fantastic. They do get dull in about 4 years of use but the steak knives have been a favorite of mine for years. I don't use my Henks anymore, I'll even wash the magic steak knives to use them!

I found a set for 15$ in Pharmaprix Quebec city, but i only remember a Miracle Blade III set with 4 knives in a plastic package, i'm not sure if it includes all knives. Can someone post picture of its package? perhaps this is another small set but i'm not sure.
