I posted this to the front page yesterday, and it looks like it's having a pretty good run there, so... take a look at this roundup of of gadgets from DealExtreme.com.

DealExtreme.com (http://www.dealextreme.com/default.dx/r.99975858) is a Hong Kong based seller of electronics, gadgets, toys etc. that has been well received here in the past (see here for example (http://www.redflagdeals.com/forums/showthread.php?t=546226)). All prices are in US dollars but just about everything has free worldwide shipping. The only catch is that since items are shipped from Hong Kong, delivery can take anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks.

With that in mind, here are some deals on some funky and or useful items:

4-in-1 Stylus Pen (Pen, Laser Pointer, Stylus, LED Flashlight) - $3.79 (http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.849~r.99975858)
MSI Tiny Bluetooth V2.1 + EDR Adapter Dongle (Vista Compatible) - $9.35 (http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.11825~r.99975858)
Microfiber Screen and Glass Cleaning Cloths (6-Pack) - $1.98 (http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.6842~r.99975858)
Retractable iPod Data/Power Cable USB - $2.13 (http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.34~r.99975858)
Wilderness Survival Fire Sparkle and Blade Cutter Tool - $5.90 (http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.12305~r.99975858)

If these don't interest you, there lots of other items that probably will, so have a look around. Remember, shipping is free.

great site

I gotta stop checking their site... right now I am waiting for 3 seperate shipments. I kept on finding more neat stuff the more I poked around the website and with free shipping on virtually everything how can you resist? I usually bookmark what I like and when I get enough items I place the order through with my co-workers as well.

Better yet, it seems like shipping's gotten way faster too from the first time I ordered there months back.

First time I think it took about a month. This time just a week and a half!

Too bad it seems like they are phasing out the lighters, I was gonna buy a zippo knockoff

Another round of applause here, to dealextreme... they have excellent stocking stuffer gifts.

One thing though - we had ordered a blister pack of 50 button cell type batteries and received them a while ago (as in, 6-8 mos. ago.) We used some, and they worked fine.

Last night, my daughter and I were sitting down and we heard a tremendous POP like a huge firecracker going off - it was so loud! We heard something hit the ceiling, and then it crashed and tumbled around on the floor - upon looking at the little silver item, we saw it was a battery that we had kept in an open container where we keep our batteries. I have no clue what happened to it - it wasn't near heat, or anything. I am so thankful none of the kids were hit by it as it exploded because it was such a sheer force! We were only about 4 feet away from it. Upon looking at it, you can see the entire outside edges exploded out. This is the second time in my life I have heard a battery explosion, and it's pretty weird to witness. I think I'll be throwing the remaining batteries out - it might be a fluke thing, since previously the other ones that exploded were a brand name, but in case they weren't made with high standards, I'd hate to take any chance. I swear, a person would be blind if that had hit us in the eye.

Super Large Stress-Reliever for Guys
$6.86

lol possibly NSFW?

Pros: -It's large!
-It's squishy!
-Nice nipple to play with.
-You'll be the center of attention at the office.
-Give it to girls with the nipple out of their sight and enjoy the reaction when they turn the boob and see the nipple.

Cons: -The smell. When I received mine it had an annoying smell, like rubber mixed with vanilla. After a few months and some washes the rubber smell went away. Now it just smells like vanilla.
-It got a little dirty after everybody in the office came to play with it. But it gets clean again after washing, so no problem.

i lol'd

You are correct that referral links are not allowed but, these referral links are for the benefit of RFD. I doubt anyone here (except you apparently) will object to trying to help the site out. The staffers here don't ask us for money to operate the site, the least we could do is use their darned referral links. Other users here posting referrals don't help the community at all...they're just greedy. Get off it already.

I like this flashlight (the one on the left; US$11.30):

Uses 1xAA instead of 3xAAA.
Single CREE emitter. Momentary-on "tactical" switch. Orange switch cover seems to be a more durable silicone rubber.

i agree with Limework
those referral links should be removed

if the staffers want help ask for donations or something and many would give them, but as staffers i think not only should they be subject to the same rules they set for us but maybe even more so because they are trying to set the example for the rest of the community.

I don't think they're referral links for individual members of the staff but rather the RFD site as a whole. Arguing this is rather ridiculous I think. The site is riddled with referral links in support of RFD. I honestly don't see what the problem is. Am I the only one that thinks this is OK or am I just going crazy?

Referral links are how RFD makes money. Every link posted by RFD is a referral link.

And WTF, why do YOU have a referral link in your sig?

What a great site, they have the Cree flashlight, very bright, well constructed, i have buy several of them:

This one is very tiny: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.6103, and the light is as strong if not better than http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.1993

So i use the rechargable battery (TrustFire Protected, sku 03435) and the charger with it, sku 04151

Also this 2.99$ SDHC card reader works well and CHEAP: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.6858

So far, i've received all my order (more than 5), sometime they do not have one item, but ship it anyway and they include a little paper saying that sku xxx wasn't available but will be shipped as soon as in stock.

High-Power 200mW Red Laser Pen (Burns Match + Visible Beam Daytime) (http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.11315) x1

$64.08

doesn't seem like a good price but the 200mW laser alone was $43.65

Anyone in the Mississauga bought that 4-in-1 Pen (http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.849~r.99975858)? I'm wondering if anyone is willing to sell it to me?
Reason: I'll need it for next week but shipping time will 2 to 4 weeks.

I created a post in the BST section, HERE (http://www.redflagdeals.com/forums/showthread.php?p=7491420#post7491420) but I doubt people check there often.
