This is kind of a silly question...I have had my car done the Drive Clean test and passed a month ago, but I have lost that piece of paper with the number I believe I need to renew my sticker....it's now 2 more weeks to go before it expires.....is there something I can do to get that drive clean # back? like is there a government website that I retrieve that info from ?

Thank you for your time.

Give the place that did the test a call and see if they can pull the records for your test and print you up a new one.

You can call the place that did it for you - they should have record. When I just did mine recently, i went to a ministry kiosk to get my plate sticker and it didn't ask for the #..maybe the emissions place just uploads it to the MTO? not sure, but never had to enter anything myself...give it a go...

actually when my dad transfer his old car to me, i call up the ministry of transportation and they were able to send me a copy of the pass certificate, saved us from doing the test again, also the cert is good for 1 year, in case you ever decide to sell the car

this was two years ago, not sure if they still provide the service, but dosen't hurt to call

The license office can access the Drive Clean database online, you don't need the actual certificate.

Go here and enter the serial number of your vehicle the drive clean will appear...Click (http://www.ene.gov.on.ca/en/air/driveclean/VICNSearch.php)

When you go to get your new sticker, the office will only issue it if the drive clean has been satisfactorily passed.
The shop that did your drive clean test can only do it if they have their machine hooked up to the MTO.

You sure? I'm pretty sure I read on the slip that it's good for 100 days from the test date or something.

like i say earlier, that was two years ago, so it might have changed now

edit: yeap, just check the drive clean website and this is what it says

Use this search to find out the results of your vehicles' previous emissions test(s). Simply enter the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), and click the "When was my Vehicle Tested" button. Drive Clean pass report may be used for one year from date of issue for vehicle registration renewal or ownership transfer.

This was like deja vu for me. I had this exact same question a couple months ago.

I ended up renewing at the kiosk and it didn't ask for the number. It was recorded in their system and renewed with no problem. Good thing I tried that because when I called the Ministry they told me I HAD to have a paper copy and that they could send me one - for $10. All the details are at the above thread.

Thank you very much. it pulled up the VIN and shows a pass....now since this is my mom's car, when I go to the kiosk , do I need her driver licenses or just the insurance slip should be good enough ?

Why don't you do this online. No kiosk fee to pay. No certificate to show.

Last time I did this my new sticker was here in 4 days.
