Canadian Tire 1 Year Warranty on all items?

Anyone else notice this addition to the CT site at the right hand nav bar, seems to come up for most items:


Canadian Tire Warranty:
If a product is defective, the manufacturer's warranty applies. If none is specified, this product carries a 1-year Canadian Tire warranty redeemable at any Canadian Tire store.

I find this interesting. Basically any little thing you buy, even $1-$2 items, seems to have a year warranty through CT now, if none is specified by the manufacturer.

bad enough trying to get them to honor their return policy. Try bringing this to their attention lol

Never buy gas powered equipment from Canadian tire... If something does not work right out of the box they do not stand behind thier product.

I bought a gas blower and it did not work out of the box, I had to wait 3 weeks for repairs, and it still did not work, 2 more weeks to repair and it still does not work.. took it back to canadian tire, the manager still would not help...

Canadian tire YOU SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've never had a problem with a CT return. They've been nothing but great to me, especially when dealing with car parts.
