I have lots of overnight working experience, and I applied to Wal-mart not knowing they had a position overnight, but lo and behold they do, so I was hired.

Anybody else work overnight at Walmart and can offer some advice? The hours are great (11pm-7am) and from what I figured from the interview, starting wage is 14.50$/hour (please correct me if I'm wrong).

1st off congrats on the new job. I would warn you, this job is physical and is hard. I've known people at my local walmart who are my friends to quit after one week! Bring a back brace belt if you have one as it will help with lifiting. As for the per hour you make, I don't know much about that. Just be prepared to work your butt off!

Thanks! My first job at the Falls. Been looking for overnight jobs for months, glad Walmart is it.

When I worked Hollister co. overnight, there was a thing between me and my coworkers is that if you survived one night, you're most likely gonna stay, but if not, they usually quit. It was a good indication of people's attitudes towards working. If you saw them twice, you saw them forever, but if only once? They dropped. Very strenuous job with sometimes shifts of up to 14 hours consecutive (5 breaks LOL), but it was actually pretty fun and I looked forward to going to work.

I can't imagine Walmart is much different. Restocking shelves, lifting boxes, auditing shrink, storing excess... pretty basic stuff, and the stuff I LOVE to do.

It was the most brutal experience in my life... so much lifting and moving required man! I quit after a month... I was getting paid 9.50 / hr.... but it was part time so I guess maybe thats why.
