I know there are coupons floating around, but I bought a Fusion power with 4 blades at costco for like 15$. I had no coupons.
So I went on ebay and bid an auction for 40blades for 67$CAN shipped.
Do you think I got ripped off? or should I have scrapped and scrounged coupon after coupon and got them cheaper. It works out to $1.68 per blade
Look forward to your comments.

$67 shipped is a good deal. Just make sure that they are not cheap knock offs.

read the auction carefully and ask the seller all the questions you have before you bid or "buy it now"

make sure he doesn't send you coupons to redeem the razors.

already bought and paid for, the auction said OEM and the pictures for the blades were in factory sealed packages, so I hope everything is legit, the seller had 100% positive feedback.

Its a scam
A friend and I saw this about 6 months ago and split on a lot of 20 "OEM" Blades.
The package looked real, heck even the blades themselves looked real but if you look REALLY closely at the blades they were not EVEN and DIRTY (We found this out AFTER it cut our faces) While comparing a SDM blade to the ebay one the dots didnt line up either.

Sounds like that MAD TV sketch of the Mach 20
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4F7TMlrDXtw
Ron: So what do ya think honey, do i look like a first rate professional business man?
Wife: Honey did you even shave?
Ron: Twice. Its those damn triple blade razors they just dont give me the close shave i need to make me a first rate professional business man.
Wife: Ron if you dont get a promotion today, im leaving you.
Ron: Its the thoughts(??) of those damn triple blade razors. I wish there was a better razor, a way better one, ya know?
(Spishak Spokesman steps out from behind the shower curtain)
Spishak Spokesman: Well now there is! Spishak presents the Mach 20 with twenty blades we guarantee you the closest shave of your life.
Ron: That could be the edge i need to make me a first rate professional business man.
Spishak Spokesman: It sure could. Watch this.
(Shows an animation of the razor as each blade runs over the face)
Spishak Spokesman: (Voiceover) You see the first blade cuts the facial hair but before the hair can snap back the second blade cuts it again, the third blade cuts it once more, the forth blade cuts it again, the fifth blade goes deeper digging below the first layer of skin to remove the hair follicle, the sixth blade cuts away that pesky second layer of skin where there might be some renegade hair follicles, the seventh blade cuts away six more layers of skin ensuring that hair will never ever grow there. The eighth blade sends an electronic pulse to the centre of the brain which destroys the part of the brain responsible for hair growth and four other non essential functions. The ninth blade gently smoothes out the jaw bone to give your face a more even appearance. The tenth blade removes cavity causing tartar and the eleventh blade starts the process all over again. By the time the twentith blade passes over your face your a first rate professional business man. That promotion is as good as yours.
(Shows Ron with his face covered in bloody bandages)
Wife: Thanks Spishak, you saved our marriage.
Ron: Hmmm?
Spishak Spokesman: The Spishak Mach 20. Coming soon the ladies Spishak Mach 20 for all your most personal female shaving needs.

I bought some of these off ebay not too long ago and they have worked perfectly. Looked just like the ones sold at Costco. I need to go home and check them out just to make sure now.

Nice info siefer! Didn't know 80% of Gilette razor products sold on ebay are most likely counterfeit~ damn~
To the OP, "if it's too good to be true, it probably is!"
40 blades = $67 would be a great example. Good luck

why do people with 100% feedback risk scamming people? It's beyond me-such a shame.

My thought is this, How can they be fake? they might be not from Gillette, but to make these blades there must be a full scale manufacturing operation, i mean, look at how complicated these things would be to make.
If they work fine, then im happy.
The deal wasn't too good to be true, sure SDM had a 4 pack for 8 dollars last saturday, so thats 2 dollars n tax for a blade, I paid 1.67, not that much of a stretch.
P.S., They were sold out, thats why i didn't buy them.

OUCH, im looking at the multiple auctions the seller has for these blades, other auctions are selling for 42 dollars, I paid 67!!! OH well, just another kick in the guts for using ebay. I have had many!

I checked mine (which were bought off ebay) and they are authentic! Saw the little serial numbers in the underside of the rotating head. The other indication they are real is that they last 2-3 months each. I'll have to use the same seller when I need more.

Great!
Some thread. Ended up costing me $52USD :(. $1.27/blade....sigh...oh well I take solace in knowing it's damn cheaper than buying it from Costco., but I did relinquish any possible points from SDM :(. Boournz!

What's the difference between the regular fusion blades and the Power Fusion blades? The power ones cost more but I can't see the difference other than color. The regular ones fit perfectly on the powered razors and work fine.

There is a big difference between the real thing and the fakes and you might just find that out when you try using them what those differences are.
Ebay is a very dangerous place to shop. Some of the counterfeits could probably end up killing you.

I get these Schick twin blade, disposable razors. I think that they are something like 10 in a package for $6 or $7.
Probably just as good as the Gillette Fusion razor.
I mean, is 5 blades any better than 2 really? I seriously doubt that it's anything more than a marketing gimmick to make more profit.
What next, a 6 blade razor?
Found this funny comment from a web site:
"Saturday Night Live predicted the Mach-3 razor *in their very first episode* in 1975: 'Triple-Trac: because you'll believe anything.'"

they went from 3 to 5 so i would say their next logical step is 7. lucky number 7

Pretty soon you'll need some sort of arm brace to be able to hold up the razor to your face. :cheesygri

I always have trouble determining when to throw out the blade, I mean, when is the blade used up? when it goes rusty? or after 3 uses. I don't go by the blue strip, thats just an effort by the blade manufacturers to make you use more blades.
When do you throw them out?

When you are doing incisions on flesh, it is very easy to figure out when a blade needs to be replaced. No I don't recycle surgical blades.
Same premise with shaving. That feel you have when using a virgin blade on your cheekies....well there's a threshold beyond which you can just FEEL the blades aren't razor sharp. I'd replace them two or three shaves BEFORE that threshold. For me it's about 5 shaves after the last colour fades. Going by the colour fade is just silly. FARRRR too premature.
