View Full Version : Asian night at clubs (Toronto)

How do you guys normally find out when an event is planned aside from being invited by friends? Are there regularly scheduled ones, or certain clubs that hold them often? I've never actually made it my goal to attend an all-asian party, but accidentally did the other night and found it was a good break from the usual clubbing scene.

I remember the last party at Shock night club. It was an Asian party and they rammed like 8000 people in there. It was crazy. Too bad they killed that club. It was the best. Biggest indoor niteclub in North America.

You can find out at Asian restaurants. I just found out that there's an all Asian jam at Fubars.

Hey, what are these all-asian parties are you talking about that are not the usual clubbing scene? What's the average for the one you went?

Doesn't anyone think it's a bit weird/rascist to have "Asian nights"?
What if we had "Black nights" or "White nights"?!

I'd say C-Lounge regularly fits the former...
And any club that plays Euro for the latter.

To a certain extent, yeah. No problem celebrating various members of the community throughout history, be they white, black, asian, whatever...on merit alone however.
I still find it strange asking for asian clubs...perhaps it's just a reality that our multicultural society is really just separated ethnic groups inside of a country that really don't mix as much as we like to portray we do.

Maybe OP is looking for an Asian SO, and clubs are his domain (ie. his game is best in a club). Nothing wrong with that.

I think your misunderstanding it...
Anyone can go to these clubs. Its just that if a club has a bunch of Asian promoters, then its most likely a bunch of asians will go there. But anyone can go... in fact a friend of mine who is white promotes @ asian clubs.

generally, people just call asian centric club nights as "asian nights". They're never really promoted as "asian nights" and it definitely isn't "asian's only". Anyone can go to the club, or buy a ticket to an event, not only asians. so, it's not racist.

Hahaha, so true. I remember going to a club with mostly Asians and I could see from one end of the room to the other over people's heads without a problem.

I'm pretty tall for a Chinese guy just short of 6'. I remember when I went to HK, I could go in the subway and see wall to wall - it's just like this terrain of 5'5 heads forming a nice flat plateau... and have to buy clothing in like XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXL.

LIPIt depends on who is promoting for the club - asian club promoters will promote to the asian community for the club they are hosting. Likewise for black club promoters and white club promoters. That said, there are "Black nights" and "White nights" at certain clubs, just as there are asian nights at certain clubs as well - but are never advertised as such of course, therefore it is not racist.

I know enough girls that club and not spend a dime the entire night. I've met/seen some girls that intentionally flirt with guys just so they could get drinks! I'm not saying all of them are like this, but the number is staggering.

 I see that you live in a fantasy world and have been 'convinced' to think that we really are all the same and that there is no colour or race only to act like we are all just Ford Model Ts with no acknowledgement of the differentiation in history and different roots of the various cultures, that add the 'multicultural' benefits of Toronto and Canada.
I also bet that you see no difference between Men and Women too and the small organs that separate us is really no big deal (the skin btw is the largest organ).
What you don't understand is, if you crawl out of your little rock, and read the news at all, even the City of Toronto (ie. the Mayor(s)) specifically says regarding specific ETHNIC celebration events that (to paraphrase) "this is what MULTICULTURALISM is about, to celebrate all the different cultures, of which everybody is invited to celebrate".
Maybe you should also petition to erase the names given to small subsections of the city "Chinatown, Little Italy, Greektown, Little India, etc. Oh, while you're at it, petition to Statscan canada that keeps count of 'Visible Minorities' and send a note to the Federal Gov't that they should relenquish any special acknowledgements about any minorities regardless as you say since it is 'racist' to continue to do so.
People are still attracted to others that are similar to each other (whether its by interests or by looks/genetic similarity) so there is a tenedency to for sub-groups to converge (which doesn't fit the racist term) and acknowledgements, celebrations or 'clubbing' promotions have done and will continue to do with the INCLUSION of other races that want to go.

More asian girls do that than the non-asian girls.
Just my opinion.

I don't mind this. If the girl holds a sexually charged conversation and dances with me, I'm willing to buy her drinks. In fact, to be able to do this and forget about it afterwards is why I'm at the club.
