Well RFDs I wrote similar post in another thread, but I'm reposting under new title because I really want your opinion
I'm in the process of choosing new appliances for my kitchen, basically I looked into GE Monogram line (induction cook top, single wall oven, dishwasher, standalone counter depth fridge, and vent hood)

Well now I'm thinking to go with Electrolux appliances as they seem to be significantly cheaper than Monogram, but I really don't know if they compare, I really love the sleek and streamlined design of GE Monogram. Price wise Electorlux Icon line compares to GE Monogram, but when I gave the manufacturer's numbers to sales guy at Tasco's he told me those were discontinued, and gave me NEW line numbers which are cheaper+they have $1,500.00 mail in rebate, but I see ICON on Sears website, what do you guys think, did he just want me to go with the "new" line for some reason, or is Sears selling discontinued models?

so which brand is better Electrolux or GE?

I go with the Electrolux.

I ordered the Electrolux a couple of months ago. In the end go with what you like. I think the Monogram is much more expensive so it also depends on your budget. I ordered the Electrolux IQ Gas Stove and CD Sided by Side Fridge. The dishwasher did not impress me so I bought the Kenmore Elite one.
