The Yokohama Geolandar winter tires have a very good rating www.apa.ca/template.asp?DocID=97#suv
I also got a great price for these tires from Tire World in Brampton http://www.tireworldbrampton.com/contact.php
The price was better than the group buy thread http://www.redflagdeals.com/forums/showthread.php?t=639602, even after the discount :|

I just checked the website and don't see which brands being sold at those prices. I'm looking for winter tires. I guess I have to call and inquire. If the price is indeed $99 for the Yokohama IG20 P215/60R16 then have that $60 rebate, then I'll be at his shop on Saturday 8am sharp!
Thanks OP for posting the website.

Thanks for the tip, I did call National Tire www.nattire.com & their price was $4 less per tire than Tire World but since I live in Brampton, it's not worth it for me to drive all the way to Toronto to save $18 :D

I don't know how your math do but the price on 1010tire is for 1 tire, when you press add to cart, you will see the total is also 1200 for the blizzak. I just checked as I do not believe you can get these tire for so cheap. The number on tirerack is for 4 tires. I don't know about tire world but you may want to make sure it is for 4 tires.

Okay, I called Tire World this morning. The winter tire prices on their website are outdated. The guy said they haven't been updated. So it is $109, not $99, for the 215/60R16 tire size and it is the Cooper brand, not Yokohama. The Yokohama Ice Guard is priced at $122 ($137 less $15/tire rebate).
My colleague said check out Tire Depot.

I say pay the few bucks more & get Yokohama vs. Cooper. We had Cooper tires on our coupe few years ago & they were piece of ****. We had them replaced within a week with Toyo's.

So there goes my $80 rebate
So if anyone is looking for Yokohama's I suggest you hurry up before they are all gone :D
Apparently Bridgestone is having a promotion 50% off "list price" for Blizzak Winter Tires, not a mail in rebate like Yokohama but I noticed that the same tires 2-3 weeks ago, I was quoted around $25 more each. Here is the link for more info & participating dealers www.needtires.ca The sale ends Oct. 30/08.

I found this new Quebec based website (english/french), they claim to ship for free to Quebec and Ontario. Their prices seem good. It's www.lespneusmoinschers.com .
they have some Yokohama's and other good tires left.
Let me know what you think.

Yeah, new law in Quebec where you have to drive with winter tires (U know, with the mountain and snow flake symbol) from december 15 to march 15 (or is it april?). Anyways, I was at the dealer picking up my tires and a lady was literally stressing in front of me 'cause she couldn't find winter ties ANYWHERE for her car and was either going to have to pay a major premium to get winter tires (you could see she's the type to drive at 70km on the highway, so...) or she had to upsize her tires to 17'.
I was real happy I already had mine. Now I just have to get them installed. It felt too soon, you know, in October. Trick or treat...look at my winter tires??? Although santa is already hidding in the back corners at Canadian Tire, lol.
Makes you wonder though, why is it tire dealers didn't prepare in advance for this.
Oh, btw, I'm soooooooooo glad I'm not driving Kumho tires this year.... They are good for about a winter, then...... Although might of been the crappy car I had last year(Aveo 5, ouch).

Oh, btw TOMTOMTOM, I like your quote: "Chinese people can't give you a bargain" Russell Peters.
I've bought to many times from chinese markets. Their products are weak and unreliable.

Don't forget Active Green and Ross also gives an additional $80 cash rebate over and above Yoko's manufacturers rebate if your a CAA member. They also price match.
They also give a $40 cash rebate on Michelins.

Now that would be HOT! Except that the $80 additional CAA rebate is only on All-seasons, light-truck/SUV or performance Yokohama tires. (If you're buying in advance for spring - might be a really nice deal though).

I went to Green and Ross, after getting a phone quote for tires. They told me they cannot apply the CAA rebate on the phone quote. They "CAA Rebate" price, is different from their everyday low prices. Old bait and switch, I ended up ordering from Tirerack and saved over $150 after the exhcange (Can$.98) and installation. Since the dollar has tanked, it might not be worth it to order from Tirerack. I have been shopping for snow tires, and the best deal so far has been Sam's Club.

Same here, although I was buying for an Acura anyways. Don't know how they could get them while no one else in Toronto could. One of the Acura dealers was actually reasonably priced, compared to the others in the GTA.
Curiously, those W.Drive's seem extraordinarily expensive, do they discount those?
