I don't have either of these TV's but here are a few comments.

A response speed of 6.5ms may be a very good thing. I have another TV that has an 8ms response time and I do detect jitter from time-to-time when watch fast movement. That's a common issue with LCD TV's.

I do have a different Daytek TV and it's pretty good except that I had all sorts of problems getting it to work with a universal remote control. I ended up having to do a lot of learning to get it to work.

You'll enjoy the ViewSonic for it's brightness level, 1:1 pixel mapping and audio

Thanks guys, keep the comments coming. I plan on using one for the office, no video games and one will be given to my 60+ year old dad. So, I'm leaning on keeing the Viewsonic and giving him the Daytek. Are these 2 units pretty identical in terms of it's features/quality? Not stellar units like my Samsung for the living room, but decent right?
