Oh, CT can do that? I didn't know that, i'll give it a try, thanks!
just fyi, ct won't do it. i tried twice. first time i had to argue 15 mins b4 she gave up and second time i had to return it and buy it again.
save yourself the trouble and buy the item on sale and then return it using the old receipt at full. much less haslee than trying to reason with them.
you have 45 or 90 days to return it (can't remember the number of days)
good luck!

I didn't have this issue at my local canadian tire, it really depends on which store you go to. The one I went to had no issue with refunding the difference. Kind of stupid to have to buy a new one and return it again, but I guess you could do that if they don't allow it.

If CT gives you hard time with price adjustments or returns - don't buy there! All stores are individually owned and operated, find one with better service and make your purchases there!
Vote with your dollars for the stores with better service ;)
In case you do not have any choices and you have only one CT in your area - then complain to the head office - at least it will provide you with some kind of leverage.

That's a very decent CDN price on the Z1285 camera. Both I and my parents have this camera, which I bought 2 of from woot.com for $89.99 US each.
It takes pretty good pictures and has many cpature modes, but the place it really shines is the video - it takes stunning 720p HD video that totally blows the video from any other digicam out of the water - this video looks like it came from a HD camcorder.
You can capture about a half hour per 1.5 GB from my experience. So with an 8 GB SDHC card you can get easily 2 hours of video before needing to download it to the PC. And the videos get much smaller on the PC if you transcode them.
EDIT: Just make sure you be warranty of the sketchy CT return policy here - like all electronics, I would not count on return to CT if it fails after 15 days, you'll probably have to go through Kodak).

Just a note about Kodak's service, it is top notch. I've had 3 issues with 3 separate Kodak digital cameras over the last 10-12 years and they were all fixed for free from Kodak. I even had a problem with my Kodak 5100 printer which they fixed for free as well.
The first camera we had, there was a problem with it that I can't remember that developed after 2 years of having it. We sent it to Kodak and they repaired it and sent it back all free.
The 2nd camera had a problem with the battery door and the clip on it getting worn out and eventually broke off so the door wouldn't stay shut. After speaking with their serive and telling them if they sent me a replacement door I could fix it myself they agreed and instead of me sending them the camera, they sent me the replacement door and all was well.
The 3rd camera just died. The lense would not extend and it would shut off by itself. Again we sent it to them and they sent us a replacement. No charge to us.
Lastly our Kodak printer had a print head issue and they sent us a brand new print head at no cost to us and the printer has been working fine since.
Now it looking at this it seems their stuff breaks often but 3 issues in about 12 years on the cameras isn't so bad especially with one of them being a plastic piece that broke.
All this to say that their service rocks and I'll be buying one of these cameras tomorrow.

I totally agree 100%. One of the two stores near me sucks so bad for returns and service. Even though its the closer store to me I drive a little bit to the farther store because their service and returns have been super easy.

I find myself doing the same, not for service but for stock. The one closest to home is a bigger store, recently renovated to become even larger, but they always seem to sell out very quickly of popular sale items. The one closer to work is a lot smaller and sketchier looking, but always has stuff in stock.

I have this rice cooker and it is probably one of the best purchases I ever made. I will include it in the Selected CT deals, too.
You put 3 cups of uncooked rice, it will fit about half of the bowl. Then you fill it with a water, up to the special line marked on the bowl, add some salt.
After yout turn it on - after 15-20 minutes rice will absorb the water and will fill the entire bowl. Everything is fully automatic, and it will keep rice warm - this is what I like about the cooker.
That's how you will get 6 cups of cooked rice. ;)
Check the manual to the similar rice cooker (http://www.blackanddeckerappliances.com/dyn/prod/user-guide/138/RC410%20RC550.pdf) - the very beginning explains everything about cooked vs. uncooked.
I am not sure how can you even get 1 cup of cooked rice from one cup uncooked?

I didn't have this issue at my local canadian tire, it really depends on which store you go to. The one I went to had no issue with refunding the difference. Kind of stupid to have to buy a new one and return it again, but I guess you could do that if they don't allow it.
I bought the 3.5 tonne floor jack ands stands not that long ago. The next week they went on sale and they made me bring the darn thing back, the receipt wasn't good enough. It probably weighs 100lbs and was a pain to repack. So I pulled up to the front door of CT, walked inside and made an employee drag it into the Customer Service desk. Then I made him put it back once I returned/repurchased it. Stupid policies.

read the reviews online at CT.. and mixed.. reaction..
a couple say battery sucks..
other say its great..
maybe they didn't fully charge and discharge the battery....i know with these items.. you have to follow the battery instructions very carefully unless u end up with a crappy battery that won't hold charge.

It works independently from car pressure monitors, however the efficiency is a question....It looks that reviews of similar systems (http://www.amazon.com/RV-Wheel-Tire-Pressure-Monitor/dp/B00040M270) are not too bad, but I read somewhere some complaints about inaccuracy....
In any case, the price seems to be much lower that I could see for similar systems. If you decide to buy it - please share your comments here!!!

Not sure, I think they may differ for different cars, but when you find out - it is a good idea to compare it to Costco http://tires.costco.ca/?whse=BCCA&lang=en-CA - they include everything + nitrogen inflation + lifetime rotation, flat repair etc.
Also they have a coupon until Nov 23 - $10 off per tire for Goodrich or $15 off for Michelin (Michelin is my pesonal preference).
I think if you factor in everything - costco might be a better deal after all.

without the receipt - the store will do one of the following
- refuse to take the item back
-find the lowest sale price for the item and give you store credit for the item, for this amount - valid in this specific store only for 30 or 60 days.
EIther way, you cannot really argue as store is not obligated to take anything back without the receipt.
If you bought something on your CT card and can bring the statement that shows your purchase - then you might be in luck and you will increase your chances of getting store credit (or even full refund), but again, YMMV, this will stay at the store's discretion.

Its a mild/cold deal. This is pretty much standard price for a construction heater, Kent (a Maritime home improvement warehouse chain) has pretty much the exact same model for $69.99 24/7 365. I imagine you'd find a simmilar price at Home Depot / Rona too.

(Clothes dryer and electric stove circuits do uses 240V/~30A).
Note as well that a construction heater and a clothes dryer *DO NOT* take the same kind of outlet, so don't plan on re-using that socket.
I have a construction heater 240v outlet in my basement by my power panel, but they aren't really standard fare. I imagine some people have them in their garage but I would not say it is normal.

It's $13.99 per tire for balancing at CT plus $2.50 disposal! The same BFG tires at Costco are $124 minus the $10/tire rebate so $114. At CT, they're on sale for $92.74 + $16.49 = $109.23. Not a big difference...not so hot a deal I guess.

5 minute rice is actually already precooked one, it is just dehydrated and needs to be re-hydrated. It is not suitable for the rice cooker.
In any case I believe even 5 minute rice increases it's volume after cooking with water.

to get tire service at Costco, you either have to take time off from work, or have to queue up way before store open over weekend. and expect 2-3 hours before get your car back. even during weekday, i have to queue up 1.5 hours before store open and have 10 over ppl lining up by the time store open at 9:30am. way exhausted each time i think of getting service at costco's tire center.
