I got a set of aftermarket rims from a friend for my girlfriends VW and it have the proper lug nuts for it as well. They are the right size, same bolt pattern (5x100) but when I went to put them on, I realized one problem. The VW uses lug bolts and they are thicker then the holes in the wheels (the wheels use a 12 mm pitch and the car bolts are 14mm)

To be honest, i checked everything but didn't realize the thickness on the bolts differed. Anyways, I have found that most people just use a wheel stud converter to get around this, as seen in this link on ebay (http://cgi.ebay.ca/14x1-5-12x1-5-WHEEL-STUD-CONVERSION-GOLF-JETTA-PASSAT_W0QQitemZ330289414337QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMot ors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item330289414 337&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1215%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C 240%3A1318)

Anyone know where i might be able to find these in the GTA (preferably Mississauga, Oakville or Burlington). If I can buy it locally, i would rather it so I can get them this week.

Anyone have any ideas?

Get the wheels drilled. It's a lot easier.

Never even thought of that. Any idea where this can be done, or approx price?

Search the yellow pages for a machine shop. Get it done right or you might throw the balance off or get shimmies

It's just a gentle suggestion, but before you go drilling your rims, possibly removing some of the thicker metal that typically reinforces the holes, see if you can find the actual rims you need at a reasonable price. If you can, at this time of year you're not likely to have much trouble selling the rims you have.

Already doing that :), just thought I would take a look and see what other options there was.

Thanks,
