Bought one from Dell a few weeks ago.

The LED on this usb drive is pretty non-existant.
A little faster than the White 8GB Kingston sold at FS or BB.
The plastic use to made this unit seems really really cheap.

But at that price, can't say no.. :cheesygri

Pretty hot

but..... again, slow speed is such a killer on big volume USB drives

someone's review
Cons: Super slow speed, this one speed even slower than my 4 years old 4200rmp external HD.

yeah, the big let down is the slow speed, but if you don't care about the speed and want to move large files around in 1 shoot, then nothing can beat this price. I will probably grab one since my 8GB Patriot XT booster lost half of the capacity after format and due for RMA.

Tempted as a "stocking stuffer", but Kingston's write speeds have always been kinda iffy... Comments?

Thing is, even at 4200RPM, an IDE drive will still put up significantly higher numbers than a lot of USB flash drives. In this scenario, USB is the bottleneck - if i'm not mistaken.

handling = taxes
Handling fees include Canadian sales taxes paid at the border on your behalf, in accordance with the following table. Please refer to the included table and diagram below for the applicable tax rates for you province.
Tax is applied to the items in your order as well as the $1.00 USD customs brokerage fee.
Tax is not applied to the cost of shipping.

Darn, nothing at Dell today for me... then this. Good deal even with the goofy 'brokerage fee' and taxes. Funny thing is I added an $8 SD card, you could mail it an envelope and it literally weighs next to nothing - shipping jumped to $13 ! Removed that from the shopping cart faster than a greased cheetah.

Thanks OP, hope this works with my Philips DVD player.
